Friday, November 17th: To Start The Weekend, We See A Little Twist On Friday's Tournament Slate

ICYMI: Thursday's tournament action started off (11:00am) with the first mixed game event of the month, as cards got in the air for the $130 Limit Omaha 8B Hi/Lo ($2,000 GTD).  A total of (19) players made up the field, and although three players were scheduled to get paid their share of the $2,000 prize pool, a pretty generous deal was made.  Action was paused with eight players remaining, as a deal was agreed to, with Stan Orenland (Coral Springs, FL) declared the tournament's winner.

Tournaments: Friday's tournament slate is a little different than usual, as we see two events that are new to each time slot.  While a familiar tournament to recurring schedule, the $60 No Limit Hold'em ($2,000 GTD) event in the 11:00am slot, has never been played on the Friday before.  The tournament is structured with starting stacks of 14,000 units, and levels that last (20) minutes.  There is also an optional add-on at the end of registration (after Level 8), with players seeing a return of 10,000 units for $20 (with 100% of the add-on money going towards the prize pool.

The $60 No Limit Hold'em event is followed (at 6:00pm), by a $80 No Limit Hold'em tournament.  This is the same event that was introduced to the schedule on Wednesday, but offers up a $5,000 guaranteed prize pool this time around.  The tournament is structured with 15,000 unit starting stacks, and sees (20) minute levels throughout the evening.
