Friday, January 24th: $500 High Hands Return (6:00PM-Midnight), With PartyPokerLive "Step-Satellites" Headlining Tournament Schedule

ICYMI: There was only one event on Thursday's schedule...the ever-popular $130 No Limit Hold'em "Chip Buster" ($3,000 GTD).  The guarantee was never in doubt, as registration for the event closed with a total of (37) entries, and an official prize pool of $3,589.  Five players were scheduled to reach the money, with no chops on the menu last night.  Action played down to an outright winner, with Vicki Holmes besting Frank Lamarra during heads-up play.  Official results from the tournament are listed below:

Tournaments: Today's tournament schedule is dedicated to tomorrow's $550 No Limit Hold'em Satellite into the PartyPokerLive Millions South America, with two $80 buy-in "step-satellites."  There is a "step" at 11:00am and 6:00pm, both of which carry the same structure: players will sit down to starting stacks of 8,000 units, with (15) minute levels, and registration open through Level 8.  Those that win a seat into the $550 satellite, will have an opportunity to win a $13,000 package, and play in the $10,000 buy-in tournament in Uruguay (that boasts a $5,000,000 guarantee).

Promotions: The "Turbo High Hands" were well received in December, and they have found a home in January as well.  Beginning at 9:00am (every day of the week), $100 high hands will be awarded every (10) minutes, with rollovers applying.  Because of those rollovers, we have seen the 9:00am-12:00pm period award prizes of $400...$700...even $1,000, over the past month.

The "standard" high hands will be awarding $300 every (30) minutes (from 12:00pm-6:00pm).  Every jackpot game is eligible for the same amount, with the full $150 being rewarded to those that use one card to make the high hand.  For those players in tournaments, high hands are worth $100.

At 6:00pm, the high hands grow even larger, as $500 will be awarded every (30) minutes.  The winning high hands made with one card (during the 6:00pm-midnight period) will be awarded $250.

From 12:00am-9:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
