$360 NLH $50,000 GTD (Flight 1B): Second Verse, Same As The First...Flight 1B Now Underway

The first of three flights is in the books, and we are now an hour away from the second opening flight for the $360 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD).  The cards just got in the air for Flight 1B, with registration open through Level 8, which allows 4.5 hours for players to join the action.  A total of (5) players bagged Day 2 chips from the (40) entry Flight 1A field, led by Cory Williams (212,500).  

Flight 1B players will work with the same structure as yesterday, with starting stacks of 20,000 units, and levels that last (30) minutes (those levels will transition to 40 minutes on Day 2).  Play is scheduled to conclude after Level 16, but as we saw yesterday, things could end early (if the field reached the 10% mark.

Official chip counts from the flight will be posted after it's conclusion, with live blogged coverage returning on Sunday, for the Day 2 action.

Friday, June 22nd: $1,500 High Hands Return, As the $360 NLH ($50,000 GTD) Continues On

ICYMI: Yesterday's tournament schedule was a full one, with the first flight of the $360 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD), and two satellites for the event ($90 No Limit Hold'em Satellite).  The opening flight (Flight 1A) of the $360 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD) began at 2:00pm, and attracted a field of (40) entries.  While the field was on the "intimate" side, action did play down to the 24:30 mark in Level 16, at which point the 10% mark was reached.  Five players ended up bagging chips for Sunday's Day 2, led by Cory Williams (212,500), who was just a day removed from bubbling the final table of the $200 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD).  Official Flight 1A chip counts are posted below:

With two flights remaining, the $360 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD) needs only (125) more entries to reach the guarantee, which will likely happen this afternoon (during Flight 1B).

Tournaments: Today continues the month's last multi-flight event, a $360 No Limit Hold'em tournament, which carries a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool.  There were be two more flights over the next two days (both starting at 2:00pm), with Day 2 players returning on Sunday.  The event is structured with starting stacks of 20,000 units, and levels of (30) minutes on Day 1.  Things then get a little deeper on Day 2, as the levels transition to (40) minutes.  Each of the starting flights will play through Level 16, with registration open through Level 8.

At 10:00am and 6:00pm, there are $90 No Limit Hold'em Satellites into the $360 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD).  The satellite is structured with 8,000 unit starting stacks, and levels that last (20) minutes.  A total of 1 in 5 players will earn a seat into the $360 buy-in event, with (5) seats guaranteed.  Players that do win a seat, can choose either of starting flights to enter (today or tomorrow). 

Promotions: From (9:00am-10:00am), the high hand will award $150 every (30) minutes.  Then, starting at 10:00am, is one of the newest (and richest) promotions to hit the poker room:
