Friday, April 23rd: A Sign Of Strong Weekend Numbers, As "Green Chip Bounty" Exceeds Expectation!

ICYMI: With a large buy-in major tournament in the area, this weekend's tournaments are likely to attract impressive fields...as we saw during last night's $150 No Limit Hold'em "Double Green Chip Bounty" ($5,000 GTD).  Registration for the event closed with a total of (142) entries, which equated to a prize pool of $9,230, and a bounty pool over $7,000.  Eighteen players were scheduled to reach the money, with action playing down to  three-handed final table.  At that point, the remaining players agreed to a chop, with Kevin Dubroco (Hialeah, FL) taking home first place money.  Official results from the tournament are listed below:

Tournaments: With the arrival of the weekend, comes the $150 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD)...the tournament that started this incredible "re-introduction" of the Isle Casino Pompano Park poker room.  The cards get in the air at 6:00pm, with players sitting down to starting stacks of 15,000.  Levels will last (20) minutes throughout the evening, with registration open through Level 8 (and the break that follows).



Promotions: From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) to 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  The 11:00pm-Close period will then see $100 high hands awarded every (30) minutes.

6:00pm - $150 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD)
  • Players start with 15,000 in tournament chips
  • Levels will last (20) minutes 
  • Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
  • Alternates and late entries will start with a full stack
