With six flights now in the books, the $130 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD) has a combined total of (797) entries, of which (143) are scheduled to return for tomorrow's Day 2. The $77,309 prize pool is on pace to eclipse the guarantee, with today's pair of flights needing to average (117) entries per.
Tournaments: Today's schedule hosts the final pair of flights for the $130 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD), giving those who haven't bagged chips for tomorrow's Day 2, their final opportunities. Each of the starting flights carry the same structure: with 30,000 unit starting stacks, (30) minute levels, and registration open through Level 8. The opening flights are scheduled to end after Level 14, or if the remaining field reaches the 10% mark (whichever comes first). As mentioned above, any player that succesfully bags chips, will return to play on Monday (January 20th).
Promotions: The "Turbo High Hands" were well received in December, and they have found a home in January as well. Beginning at 9:00am (every day of the week), $100 high hands will be awarded every (10) minutes, with rollovers applying. Because of those rollovers, we have seen the 9:00am-12:00pm period award prizes of $400...$700...even $1,000, over the past month.
The standard high hand promotion then takes over, and runs from 12:00pm-12:00am. Qualifying high hands will be awarded $300, given away every (30) minutes (no rollovers). During that period, if the winning high hand is made using one card, a $150 prize will be awarded. For those players playing in a tournament, winning high hands will be paid out $100.
From 12:00am-3:00am, $100 high hands will be awarded every (60) minutes.
From 12:00am-3:00am, $100 high hands will be awarded every (60) minutes.
