ICYMI: Friday's poker action was headlined by a $150 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD), which got underway at 6:00pm. The posted guarantee was eclipsed midway through the tournament's registration, with the final number reaching $7,360. Of the (64) total entries in the tournament, eight were scheduled to reach the money. Action continued through the money bubble, eventually pausing when four-handed play was reached, with the remaining players agreeing to a deal. Tournaments: The tournament action continues this evening, with a $100 No Limit Hold'em ($3,000 GTD), that begins at 6:00pm. The tournament is structured with 12,000 chip starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and has registration through Level 8 (and the break that follows). Just like last night's event, the guarantee is expected to be surpassed early in play, as the numbers continue to rise.
Promotions: There is a short break from "special" high hand promotions today, with the "standard" high hand awarded over the course of the day (11:00am-3:00am). What is the "standard" high hand you ask? The qualifying high hand for every (30) minutes will be awarded $100, with said hand having to be made using both hole cards (one card high hands no longer qualify).
