ICYMI: 2017 Florida State Poker Championships Official Schedule Released!!


2017 Florida State Poker Championship Tournament Schedule

June 20, 2017 - The Isle Casino Poker Room at Pompano Beach released the official schedule for the 2017 Florida State Poker Championships, which includes of $1,100,000 in guaranteed tournaments.

The series runs from July 5th through July 31st, and features a $1,500 buy-in ($500,000 guaranteed prize pool) Championship Event starting on July 27th.  The FSPC Championship Event has three starting flights (July 27th, July 28th, and July 29th), and concludes on Monday, July 31st.

The action kicks off with the $175 No Limit Hold'em opening event on July 5th, a tournament that carries with it a $100,000 guarantee.  This event has eight starting flights, and a player-friendly structure offering starting stacks of 20,000 units, and (25) minute levels throughout the tournament.  The event will finish on July 9th, as Day 2 action plays down to a winner.

Also among the Florida State Poker Championship's (22) tournament schedule are the $175 buy-in Seniors' Championship, the $175 buy-in Ladies' Championship, the $360 No Limit Hold'em ($150,000 guaranteed prize pool), and the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($150,000 guaranteed prize pool) event.

There will be satellites to Event 7 ($360 NLH), Event 14 ($1,100 NLH), and the $1,500 Championship Event, with a full list of tournaments and structure sheets found at the 2017 FSPC booklet.

Tuesday, June 20th: Block And Dungo Chop The $8,000 GTD, $20,000 GTD On Tap For This Evening

ICYMI: The first event on yesterday's schedule was the $80 No Limit Hold'em w/ $10 Bounties ($2,000 GTD), which began at 11:00am.  The field was comprised of (19) entries, with the $2,000 prize pool offering up $905 for first place.  There were three spots scheduled to get paid in the event, but once action reach four-handed, players decided to add a fourth pay spot, and a deal was agreed upon.

At 6:00pm, the $40 No Limit Hold'em ($8,000 GTD) got underway, and it was clear from the moment that the cards got in the air, that the guarantee was never as risk.  A total of (294) entries made up the field, along with a prize pool of $9,698.  The large field would payout (37) spots, with a min-cash worth $59, and first place scheduled to get $2,133.  John Reslow (Delray Beach, FL) would cash in his second event of the day (34th Place - $66), joining the likes of Daniel Cruz, Elias Nassif, Omar Sader, David Licht, and Garrick Young (all players to cash, but fall short of the final table).  The final table action would continue late into the night, with some notables names vying for the event's title (Lisa Teebagy, Michele Milker, and Danilo Parada).  In the end though, it would be Irwin Block (Deerfield Beach, FL) and Allan Dungo (Dania Beach, FL) chopping the tournament heads-up.

Tournaments: "Tournament Tuesday" returns with two of the most popular "daily" events on today's schedule.  The first event, which begins at 11:00am, is the $100 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($3,000 GTD).  This tournament offers players a structure with 25,000 unit starting stacks and (20) minute levels.  That event is followed at 6:00pm by the $130 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD), a tournament that crushes the guarantee each and every time.  The nightly's structure sees players sitting down to starting stacks of 16,000 units, and playing (20) minute levels throughout.


Promotions: Outside of what we like to refer to as the "standard high hand" promotion, today's promotion calendar feature the "Early Bird Limit Hold'em" special.  This promotion sees those players, only playing limit hold'em, earn money for each full house they have (it's required that the hand also wins the pot).  Those playing 2/2 LHE will earn $20 for each full house, while those playing 2/4 LHE will earn $40 for each full house.
