Saturday, January 13th: After Single-Ante Success, The Large Guarantees Continue

ICYMI: Friday's tournament action kicked off (11:00am) with the $120 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack," which had a $3,000 guarantee.  A total of (31) entries would eventually make up the official field, with the prize pool closing at $3,007.  The posted payouts saw five players scheduled to reach the money, and after Scott Greenberg (Delray Beach, FL) was eliminated in fifth place, the remaining players agreed to a four-way deal.  Robert Flacco (Jenkintown, PA) was the tournament's declared winner, with the full results listed below:
  1. Robert Flacco (Jenkintown, PA) $901

  5. Scott Greenberg (Delray Beach, FL) $195
The evening tournament ($175 No Limit Hold'em Single-Ante $15,000 GTD) was the second in a string of three larger guaranteed events this week.  After eight levels of open registration, the tournament closed with (101) total entries, and a prize pool that landed on the $15,000 posted number.  Once the payouts were posted, players in the event learned that thirteen spots would be paid, with first place scheduled to take home $4,572.  Four of the ten final table payouts were over $1,080, so it came as no surprise, that a deal was agreed to (deep at the final table).  Morris Husarky (Boynton Beach, FL) headed the chop (six-ways), taking home $2,924 for his efforts.  The exact details of the chop, along with full results from the event, are published below:
  1. Morris Husarky (Boynton Beach, FL) $2,924

Tournaments: Saturday's tournament action has two nice sized guarantees, beginning with a $120 No Limit Hold'em "Big Stack Turbo Bounty," which has a $5,000 guarantee.  The tournament is structured with 18,000 unit starting stacks, and levels that last (15) minutes throughout.  At the end of registration (Level 10), there is an optional add-on, which sees a return of 10,000 units for $25 (with 100% of add-on money going towards the prize pool).  There is also a $25 bounty for every player elimination.

The evening event sees the return of a five-figure guarantee, with a $150 No Limit Hold'em event offering up a $15,000 posted number.  The tournament has a pretty generous structure, with players sitting down to starting stacks of 16,000 units, along with levels that last (20) minutes.

Promotions: From (9:00am-10:00am), the high hand will award $150 every (30) minutes.  The high hands will then transition from 10:00am-12:00am (midnight), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible (Isle Open events not eligible for high hand) each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-9:00am, players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.

It should also be noted that started back on November 1st, players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand!!!  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).
