Wednesday, July 18th: Crowning Two More FSPC Title Winners, As The "Bounty Hunters" Highlight The Schedule

ICYMI: Yesterday's Florida State Poker Championship schedule kicked off with Event #6, which was a $250 Omaha 8B Hi/Lo ($10,000 GTD), with the action beginning at 2:00pm.  The later start time for the series' first mixed event must have been attractive for players, as the field grew to (83) entries, and close with an official prize pool of $17,015.  It was one of the largest prize pools we've seen for a non-no limit hold'em event during a major series, and boasted a posted first place prize of $5,488.  A total of (11) players were scheduled to reach the money, with the tournament's action playing through the money bubble, and down to four-handed play.  At that point, the clock would be paused, and the remaining players would agree to an even chop.  Arturo Morgan (Plantation, FL) was declared the event's winner, and would be awarded the trophy.  Official results from Event #6 are posted below:
  1. Arturo Morgan (Plantation, FL) $3,066
  2. Freddie Moldovan (Miami, FL) $3,066
  3. Daniel Pearlman (Hollywood, FL) $3,066
  4. Alex Michaels (Miami, FL) $3,066
  5. Eric Von Guttenberg (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $1,063
  6. Pattaraporn Vorbeck (Pompano Beach, FL) $851
  7. Lazaro Rodriguez (Kendall, FL) $706
  8. Avi Levy (Coral Springs, FL) $596
  9. Leonard St. Germain (Southwest Ranches, FL) $549
  10. Daniel Genachte (Deerfield Beach, FL) $510
  11. Brian Gelrod (West Palm Beach, FL) $476
The no limit hold'em action returned at 6:00pm, as Event #7 ($130 No Limit Hold'em $15,000 GTD) attached another impressively sized field.  Registration would close with (258) entries, an official prize pool of $25,026, and a posted first place prize of $5,702.  A total of (34) players would reach the money in the event, with numerous notable names grabbing yet another Isle Poker tournament cash.  Elias Nassif, Steve Zukowski, Tim Shane, Adam Hamby, Carey Pickus, Willia, Underdown, and Dennis Brinn, all cashed in spots short of the final table.  The final table action continued on until five players remained, with a deal agreed to at that point.  Official results from the Event #7 final table are listed below:
  1. Erin Steinberg (Parkland, FL) $3,757
  2. Nader Bahhur (Boca Raton, FL) $3,437
  3. Scott Sommer (Palm Beach Gardens, FL) $2,964
  4. Eric Kolodny (Sunny Isles, FL) $2,821
  5. Dolline Willis (Margate, FL) $2,063
  6. Joseph Ricco (Boynton Beach, FL) $999
  7. Myles Holton (Lake Worth, FL) $838

Tournaments: Today's FSPC schedule starts (at 10:00am) with a $65 No Limit Hold'em Step Satellite into one of the upcoming $250 No Limit Hold'em Satellites Into Event #9 ($1,100 No Limit Hold'em).  There are five $250 satellites scheduled to run over the next four days.  Today's step satellite is scheduled with 8,000 unit starting stacks, and (15) minute levels.  Registration is open through Level 8, with 1 in 5 entries being awarded a seat.

At 2:00pm, the only "main event schedule" tournament of the day begins, with players arriving for Event #8 ($275 No Limit Hold'em "Black Chip Bounty" $15,000 GTD).  The tournament is structured with 18,000 unit starting stacks, and levels that last (25) minutes throughout.  Registration is open through Level 8, with each player elimination seeing a ($100) black chip.

The $65 No Limit Hold'em Step Satellite into the $250 No Limit Hold'em Event #9 ($1,100 No Limit Hold'em) returns at 6:00pm.  The structure mirrors that of the 10:00am satellite, but the evening installment does offer a (10) seat guarantee.

Promotions: From (9:00am-10:00am), the high hand will award $150 every (30) minutes.  The high hands will then transition from 10:00am-12:00am (midnight), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible (Isle Open events not eligible for high hand) each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-9:00am, players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).
