Tuesday, August 29th: It's Called "Tournament Tuesday" For A Reason

ICYMI: Monday's tournament action was scheduled to start with the $130 No Limit Hold'em Survivor, but the event was shift to the $100 No Limit Hold'em "Big Stack Turbo Bounty."  The "intimate" field ended up paying out one spot, with the final two players agreeing to a heads-up chop.

  1. Michael Dotson (Jupiter, FL) $200
  2. Domenic Piziferri (Boynton Beach, FL) $176
"Intimate" was definitely not a word that would be used to describe the evening tournament (6:00pm), as the $130 No Limit Hold'em ($25,000 GTD) saw registration close with a total of (285) entries.  The prize pool ballooned to $27,645, which was spread across (36) pay spots.  Final table action would pause after one elimination (Raul Hernandez), with the remaining nine players agreeing to a deal.

  2. Manuel Rosado (Miami, FL) $2,729
  3. Luke Rosenberg (Parkland, FL) $2,590

Tournaments: Players are getting back into the "groove" of the recurring tournament schedule, with the $100 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($3,000 GTD) kicking things off at 11:00am.  One of the player favorites, this tournament has a structure with a 25,000 unit starting stack, and (20) minute levels throughout the event.  Players would be hard pressed to find another daily tournament anywhere, that offers such a deep structure for a $100 buy-in.

The evening tournament (6:00pm) is the $60 No Limit Hold'em event with an $8,000 guaranteed prize pool.  Another "fan-favorite," this tournament allows players to turn a $60 buy-in, into a potential four-figure score.  The tournament starts players with 14,000 unit starting stacks, and plays (20) minute levels over the course of the night.  There is an optional "add-on" that player can choose to purchase, giving them the ability to "pad" there stack, heading to the later stages of the event.

Promotions: It's all about getting to the poker room early on Tuesdays (and Thursdays), as the "Early Bird Full House" promotion offers an awarded cash prize (depending on game plated) for the first (50) full houses of the day (in live cash games).  That promotion is followed by $300 high hands every (15) minutes, from the hours of 12:00pm-4:00pm.
