Thursday, June 27th: Weekend Is Within Reach, But First...An Action Packed Thursday Of Poker

ICYMI: The results from yesterday's slate of tournaments ($130 No Limit Hold'em "Survivor" and $80 No Limit Hold'em), have yet to been released, but they will be posted on the blog shortly after the poker room opens.

Tournaments: Thursday's tournament schedule sees the return of a "staple," along with the introduction of a new event.  The day's action begins at 11:00an, with the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($1,500 GTD).  The player-friendly event is structured with 25,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  This tournament has a history of attracted nice sized fields, with today's installment expected nothing less.

At 3:00pm (and at that time all week), there will be an $80 No Limit Hold'em Satellite, which will awarded (3) guaranteed seats into a $340 NLH Florida State Poker Championship Main Event Mega-Satellite.

The "Monster Stack" is followed at 6:00pm, by a $130 No Limit Hold'em "Green Chip Bounty" ($2,000 GTD) event.  The tournament is structured with starting stacks of 15,000 units, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  Throughout the tournament, each player elimination is worth $25 (hence the green chip bounty).

Promotions: Outside of the "standard" high hands, the poker opens with the Early Bird Full House Promotion.  The proceedings begin once the doors of the poker room open, with the first (25) full houses made, earning a $50 prize.  Each jackpot eligible cash game is included in the promotion, with two rules to keep in mind, when thinking about winning the $50.  In order to be eligible, the full house must be made using two cards, and must be the winning hand.

The day's "standard" high hand period will last from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

From 12:00am-3:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.

It should be noted, that from 6:00pm-10:00pm, there will be $250 high hands awarded every (15) minutes.  The winning high hands that are made using two cards will be awarded the full $250 prize, while those using one card will be awarded $125.
