Wednesday, November 26th: With Thanksgiving Tomorrow, We Are Looking At One Of the Busiest Poker Days Of The Year

ICYMI: Tuesday's tournament slate started at 11:00am, with the $120 Omaha 8B Hi/Lo event, which boasted a $2,000 guaranteed prize pool.  Registration for the tournament closed with a field of (21) entries, and an official prize pool of $2,037.  Four players were scheduled to get paid, and after the elimination of Stanley Oremland in fourth place, a three-way chop was agreed to.  The official results from the afternoon event are listed below:
  1. Cesar Garcia (Miramar, FL) $800
  2. Gerald Hertz (Pompano Beach, FL) $601
  3. Gregg Weiss (Delray Beach, FL) $516
  4. Stanley Oremland (Parkland, FL) $120
The evening time slot (6:00pm) hosted the popular $130 No Limit Hold'em "Chip Buster," which ran with a $3,000 guarantee.  The field would close with (26) entries, meaning four players would be scheduled to earn a piece of the $3,000 prize pool.  Once again, we saw a three-way deal agreed to, after one in-the-money elimination:
  1. Anthony Casas (Miami, FL) $890
  2. Vicki Holmes (Boynton Beach, FL) $890
  3. Stephen Bromfield (Tamarac, FL) $890
  4. Alfred Portelli (Tamarac, FL) $330
Tournaments: Wednesday's recurring tournament schedule begins at 11:00am, with a $75 No Limit Hold'em "Survivor" ($1,500 GTD).  The tournament is structured with 16,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and has registration that is open through Level 8.  The $1,500 guarantee means that three players are scheduled to walk away with $500 prizes...but that could always change, depending on the size of today's field.

There is no evening tournament on the schedule, but the room will focus on $80 No Limit Hold'em "Sit-N-Gos" from the afternoon on.  Just like Monday, a list will be started at the brush stand (which is visible in the poker room), and will start once (10) players have signed up.

Promotions: Things begin with the "Full House Promo," which will open the doors on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in November).  The proceedings begin once the doors of the poker room open, with the first (25) full houses made, earning a $50 prize.  Each jackpot eligible cash game is included in the promotion, with two rules to keep in mind, when thinking about winning the $50.  In order to be eligible, the full house must be made using two cards, and must be the winning hand.

The "standard" high hands will be awarding $300 every (30) minutes (from 9:00am-12:00am).  Every jackpot game is eligible for the same amount, with the full $150 being rewarded to those that use one card to make the high hand.  For those players in tournaments, high hands are worth $100.

From 12:00am-9:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
