ICYMI: Tournament poker sometimes see success in waves, depending on what's happening in the local market (if there are major series or large multi-day events being hosted). While there were a few days last week that had intimate sized fields, we have seen a sharp increase in attendance of late. Last night's $250 No Limit Hold'em "Final Table Finish" ($20,000 GTD) was a great example, as it attracted a total of (146) entries, enough to crush the posted guarantee. As the format dictates, the $30,368 prize pool was scheduled to be paid out across the final table (nine players). After the money bubble burst, and two in the money eliminations, the final seven players agreed to a deal (which saw everyone involved walk away with at least $3,160). Official results from the event are listed below, along with an updated Player of the Month leaderboard:
- David McMahon (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $4,868
- Mark Rakoff (West Palm Beach, FL) $4,503
- Andre Bryan (Miami, FL) $4,313
- Ian Cohen (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $4,018
- Ingrid Ortiz (Davie, FL) $3,916
- Did Not Report (Parts Unknown, USA) $3,160
- Rebecca Dellagloria (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $3,160
- James Tomblin (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $1,215
- Salvatore Accardi (Pompano Beach, FL) $1,215
Tournaments: The $130 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) tournament had a very successful first run, and is now a member of the "recurring" tournament family. The tournament is structured with 15,000 unit starting stacks, and has (20) minute levels throughout. Registration is open through Level 8, and closes once the first hand of Level 9 is dealt (there is a short break between the two).

These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10). From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.
