Tuesday, June 6th: Final Table Chop Of "$40 Monday Madness," $20,000 GTD Highlights Tournament Schedule

ICYMI: Two tournaments made up the daily schedule to start the week, with Monday's action beginning with the $80 No Limit Hold'em w/ $10 Bounties ($2,000 GTD).  The $2,000 prize pool ($270 bounty pool) was made up of (27) total entries, and as play reached the money bubble, the posted payouts were altered.  Five players agreed to a deal that saw Morris Heider (Boca Raton, FL) declared the winner, taking home a few dollars less than the schedule first place prize ($665).

  1. Morris Heider (Boca Raton, FL) $665
  2. Brian Haines (Southwest Ranches, FL) $328
  3. Paul Efron (Coconut Creek, FL) $265
  4. Angelo Castaldi (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $258
  5. Todd Kasten (Boynton Beach, FL) $214
The $40 No Limit Hold'em tournament has become a staple of the "daily tournament schedule," and has seen different guaranteed prize pools, along with different days on the schedule.  The tournament went from the "Tuesday $10k," to the "Thursday $10k," and is now being labeled the "$40 Monday Madness" (with an $8,000 GTD).  The tournament's first run on a Monday night was a success, as (269) entries made up the official prize pool of $8,743.  There were (34) spots scheduled to be paid in the event, with a min-cash worth $60, and a posted first place prize of $1,973.  Some tournament regulars to notch another recorded cash included Scott Krautman, Hari Sukhu, Jason Young, and Willie Wiggins.  The final table would last just a few minutes, as players began discussing a chop moments after the redraw.  The group was able to come to an agreement, with Shamir Patel (Boca Raton, FL) declared the winner, earning himself  $1,119.
  1. Shamir Patel (Boca Raton, FL) $1,119
  2. Richard Scmitt (Tamarac, FL) $1,063
  3. Edgard Mendes (Deerfield Beach, FL) $690

Tournaments: "Tuesday's Are For Tournaments" has become the unofficial motto of the day for the poker room, as two players favorites make up the schedule.  The first event sees the cards in the air at 11:00am, with the $100 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($3,000 GTD) growing larger each and every week.  The tournament offers players a great structure, with 25,000 unit starting stacks, and levels of (20) minutes throughout.

At 6:00pm, players see the return of the $130 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD), a tournament that has just crushed the guarantee for weeks now.  This tournament is clearly on the top of player's lists, with a 16,000 unit starting stack, and (20) minute levels played throughout.  Prize pools in this tournament have come very close to eclipsing $30,000, so it wouldn't come as much of a surprise to see that number passed this evening.

Promotions: Outside of what we like to refer to as the "standard high hand" promotion, today's promotion calendar feature the "Early Bird Limit Hold'em" special.  This promotion sees those players, only playing limit hold'em, earn money for each full house they have (it's required that the hand also wins the pot).  Those playing 2/2 LHE will earn $20 for each full house, while those playing 2/4 LHE will earn $40 for each full house.
