Saturday, July 1st: New Month...New Promotion, "Unofficial" Start Of The FSPC

ICYMI: The final tournament for the month of June kicked off last night at 6:00pm ($75 No Limit Hold'em $5,000 GTD), and attracted a sizable field.  Once registration closed, there was a total (83) entries, and a prize pool of $5,176.  Eleven spots would reach the money, with a min-cash in the event worth $145, and first place scheduled to take home $1,669.  Isle tournament poker regulars Thomas Millward, Danielle Bastarache, and Chris Zollo each earned another final table score, but fell short of the three-way deal that wrapped up the event.  Richard Linn (Plantation, FL) grabbed "first place" honors in the deal, worth close to three times his career earnings heading into the tournament.  Linn had one cash on his resume before last night, a 55th place finish in a $140 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" event from last September ($472).  The $1,425 score comes at a great time for Linn, as the 2017 Florida State Poker Championships is just around the corner.
