Wednesday, October 25th: After Two More Isle Open Trophies Awarded, It's "Satellite Day" For Main Event

ICYMI: Yesterday's Isle Open action started at 11:00am, as Event #19 ($60 No Limit Hold'em | $7,000 GTD) got it's cards in the air.  The field was made up of (143) total entries, and while it looked for a moment that the prize pool would end up short of the guarantee, it would close at $7,086 after the add-ons were included.  That continues the trend of every event on the championship schedule reaching the posted guarantee.  There would be eighteen players scheduled to reach the money, with a posted first place prize of $1,979.  The event eventually ended in a five-way chop, with Stephen Disorbo (Plantation, FL) declared the tournament's winner.

Event #20 began at 6:00pm last night, with the $100 No Limit Hold'em "Deepstack Turbo Bounty" ($18,000 GTD) tournament crushing the number.  Once registration closed for the event, there were a total of (251) entries, and an official prize pool of $22,380.  We would see the second chop of the day, as German Zaga (Tamarac, FL) headed a four-way deal, earning $2,957 (and the Isle Open trophy).

Tournaments: Today's Isle Open schedule is all about satellites, with the $1,500 Isle Open Main Event beginning tomorrow afternoon.  The first event of the day is a $340 No Limit Hold'em Mega Satellite, with (25) seats guaranteed into the Main Event.  Players in the satellite will sit down with 14,000 unit starting stacks, and will spend the afternoon playing (25) minute levels.  

The second satellite of the day starts at 6:00pm, and is a $175 No Limit Hold'em Super Satellite, awarded a guaranteed (10) seats into the Main Event.  This event's structure has players sitting down to starting stack of 12,000 units, and playing levels that last (20) minutes over the course of the evening.

Promotions: From (9:00am-10:00am), the high hand will award $150 every (30) minutes.  The high hands will then transition from 10:00am-12:00am (midnight), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible (Isle Open events not eligible for high hand) each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-3:00am (Friday morning), players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.

- Level will last (20) minutes throughout the event
