Wednesday, November 10th: Marvin Young Tops Tuesday's Three-Way Deal, As We Take A One-Day Tournament Break

ICYMI: Tuesday's $160 No Limit Hold'em ($10,000 GTD) is continually growing in popularity, not only as an additional date on the weekly schedule, but also a tournament with a boosted guarantee.  Last night's installment attracted a total of (74) entries, which was just short of the number needed to reach the guaranteed number (of $10,000).  The "final table finish" payout structure meant that first place was scheduled to take home $4,000, but the top three payouts would eventually be altered.  The final table action paused when play reached three-handed, so players could work out the numbers for a deal.  Marvin Young would end up taking home first place money ($2,805), with official results from the event listed below:

  1. Marvin Young (Miami, FL) $2,805
  2. Marc Roth (Plantation, FL) $2,625
  3. Dennis Gilman (Hillsboro Beach, FL) $1,370
  4. Robert Williams (Miami Gardens, FL) $700
  5. Blaine McRae (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $700
  6. Omar Sader (Pompano Beach, FL) $600
  7. Mark Brannick (Boca Raton, FL) $600
  8. Jonathan Marcu (Boca Raton, FL) $300
  9. Shamica Lamar (Wellington, FL) $300
Promotions: From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.

ICYMI: Monday's $250 No Limit Hold'em "Final Table Finish" ($10,000 GTD) lived up to expectations, attracting a total of (139) entries.  The $28,912 prize pool well surpassed the posted guarantee, and offered ups first place prize that was over $11,000.  The "final table" aspect of the tournament meant that the final nine players would reach the money, with the evening's action playing down to a heads-up final table.  Once Neal Corcoran busted in third place, David McMahon and Steve Smith agreed to a deal, seeing each earn over $8,350.  Official results from the tournament are listed below, along with an updated Player of the Month leaderboard:
