Sunday, September 19th: Gilberto Maakaroun Tops Three-Way Deal, But It's Pedro Palacio Climbing The Leaderboard!

ICYMI: Saturday's $130 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) has been a great source of leaderboard points, as total entries play a large part in the formula.  Last night's tournament eclipsed the century mark, with the tournament clock showing (112) entries at the end of registration.  The $11,200 prize pool was scheduled to be spread across fourteen payspots, and would follow posted payouts until the official results reached third place. A three-handed deal was agreed to at the final table, between Gilberto Maakaroun, Carlos Vazquez, and Pedro Palacio.  While this was Gilberto's first cash of the month, the third place finish for Palacio helped him enter the top five.  Official results from last night's tournament are listed below:
  1. Gilberto Maakaroun (Miami, FL) $2,439
  2. Carlos Vazquez (Weston, FL) $2,229
  3. Pedro Palacio (Coconut Creek, FL) $2,007
