Saturday, December 26th: Bailine Bests Burns To Win Christmas Day Tournament, As "Weekend Swing" Continues

ICYMI: It's the day after Christmas, and many people are still excited about the wonderful gifts they received.  At 5:00pm last night, a group of players looked to add another memory to their 2020 holiday season, as they took their chances in the $150 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD).  Registration for the tournament closed with (46) entries, continuing the streak of eclipsing the posted guarantee.  A total of (6) players were scheduled to reach the money, and even with a potential "hard stop" time (11:30pm), the event played down to an outright winner.  Michael Bailine bested Tony Burns to take home the win, and $2,063.  Official results from the tournament are listed below:

  1. Michael Bailine (Davie, FL) $2,063
  2. Tony Burns (Davie, FL) $1,217
  3. Dave Albertson (Margate, FL) $741
  4. Steven Flacco (Delray Beach, FL) $529
  5. Earl Bernard (Miramar, FL) $423
Tournaments: The "Weekend Swing" continues at 5:00pm (note the second time change of the weekend), with the $100 No Limit Hold'em ($3,000 GTD). The $100 No Limit Hold'em ($3,000 GTD) may be the best "value" tournament on the schedule, offering up a serious return on accommodating buy-in.  The tournament is structured with a 12,000 unit starting stack, (20) minute levels, and has registration open through Level 8 (and the ten minute break that follows).  Just like yesterday's event, there is a "hard stop" time of 11:30pm, at which point the remaining players would enter into an ICM chop.

Promotions: Saturday's high hand promotion stays the same from open to close...awarded $100 every (30) minutes, to the qualifying high hand (must be aces-full or better).  In order to make a qualifying high hand, players must use both hole cards, as one-card high hands are no longer eligible.

5:00pm: $100 No Limit Hold'em ($3,000 GTD)
  • Players start with 12,000 in tournament chips
  • Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
