ICYMI: Saturday's $130 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) gave players another opportunity to better their standing on the Player of the Month leaderboard, with only a handful of events remaining on the calendar. Cards got in the air at 6:00pm, with the field growing to (54) entries by registration's close (which equated to an official prize pool of $5,000). A total of seven players were scheduled to earn a piece of the prize pool, with action playing through the money bubble, and down to a three-handed final table. A deal was agreed upon between the final trio, with Alvaro Vivas Grisales (Miami, FL) taking home first place money. Tournaments: This afternoon's tournament is getting a little upgrade, as we see the return of a guaranteed prize pool, in addition to the "final table finish" format. The $400 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD) event gets underway at 2:00pm, and is structured with 30,000 chip starting stacks. Levels will last (30) minutes throughout the entirety of the event, with registration open through Level 10 (and the break that follows). As mentioned, the "final table finish" is in place, meaning that regardless of where the prize pool closes, it will be paid out to only the top nine spots (those that make the final table). There is a $20,000 guaranteed first place prize, which is sure to attract a special crowd (so get there early)!!!
Promotions: From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10). From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.
