Ginold Cham (Lake Worth, FL) can sit a little more comfortably, especially after winning a pot worth more than 1,000,000.

At Table 3, Ginold Cham would open from early position, with Raj Vohra then  three-bet shoving for just over 160,000.  Donald Francois was next to act, and he wasn't too quick to release his hand...instead he announced that he was all-in as well (for close to 800,000).  Action folded back around to Cham, who looked at Francois and said, "I guess this is going to be a big."  Ginold made the call, and the hands would be tabled, for a pot worth over 1,000,000:

Cham: A♠ A
Francois: Q♠ Q
Vohra: 8 8♣

Runout: J 9♣ 3♠ 3 6

"Hold once in my life," Cham said, as the dealer began running out the board...which did help his aces hold.  Cham would eliminated Raj Vohra in 25th place ($3,816), while Francois dropped below 300,000.

Ginold Cham - 1,050,000 (87bb)
Donald Francois - 240,000 (20bb)

BATB Event #14 ($1,500 NLH Championship): Jake Schwartz Doubles Through Uri Kadosh

2018 Battles At The Beach
Event #14 | $1,500 NLH Championship ($500,000 GTD)

Level 19 (Blinds 5,000/10,000/1,000) | Structure
Total Entries: 433
Players Remaining: 26

Jake Schwartz (New York, NY) now finds himself with over 900,000, after scoring a big double-up against defending champion Uri Kadosh.

Uri Kadosh's title defense hopes just took a big hit, as he watched a good portion of his stack get pushed the way of Jake Schwartz.  On a Q♠ 3 2 flop, Jake would call a check-raise from Kadosh, with the two watching as the 9♣ fell on the turn.  The chips then got in, with the two vying for a pot worth over 800,000:

Schwartz: Q 9 (top-two with flush draw)
Kadosh: 3♠ 3♣ (flopped middle set)

River: Q♣

Schwartz was able to find one of his thirteen outs on the river, giving him a timely double, which propels him to the top of the leaderboard.

Jake Schwartz - 910,000 (91bb)
Uri Kadosh - 290,00 (29bb)

It's bad news for Chad Eveslage...as Jake, Sam Panzica, and Joshua Kay still remain in the field...all with above average stacks.

BATB Event #14 ($1,500 NLH Championship): Daniel Genachte Gets A Big Double, With That Ace On The River

2018 Battles At The Beach
Event #14 | $1,500 NLH Championship ($500,000 GTD)

Level 19 (Blinds 5,000/10,000/1,000) | Structure
Total Entries: 433
Players Remaining: 26

Daniel Genachte (Deerfield Beach, FL) has hit two lucky rivers in the past few levels, helping him comeback from a stack that dipped down to just five big blinds.

The lead up to Daniel Genachte's double up wasn't spotted...but the aftermath was.  After Brinn opened from early position, Daniel shoved out of the big blind (for close to 175,000).  Brinn quickly made the call, and would be ahead with J J, against Daniel's A 7♣.  The runout would be kind for the local grinder, as he spiked an ace on the river to win, leaving Dennis will less than a big blind.  Brinn would be eliminated the very next hand, exiting the tournament area in 27th place ($3,816).

Daniel Genachte - 365,000 (36bb)

Raj Vohra (Lake Worth, FL) is owed an apology from the media, as he was listed earlier as the completely wrong person.

Earlier, we had the player pictured above listed as Jose Delcid, when is fact that is Raj Vohra (Lake Worth, FL).  We spoke of Delcid having just one recorded cash on his Hendon Mob, and being excited to be chipping up.  Vohra is the exact opposite of that, with just under $1,000,000 in lifetime tournament earnings, and a knack for running deep in events such as this.  Raj happens to be sitting with a top ten stacks at the moment, with over 550,000.

Raj Vohra - 550,000 (68bb)

Sam Panzica (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) couldn't have asked for a better situation, all-in for a triple up, with his opponents holding one out each.

At Table 1, Sam Panzica would open the action with a raise to 12,000, eliciting calls from Josias Santos, Brandon Ageloff, and Daryl Jace (big blind).  After the Q♠ 4♣ 5♠ flop, action would check around to Brandon Ageloff, who bet 17,000.  Jace released his hand, with Panzica making the call, and Josias Santos raising to 50,000.  Brandon would then shove for 130,000, with both Panzica and Santos making the call (Sam called for less).  When the hands were tabled, player's would witness the statistical anomaly, as each of the players flopped sets:

Ageloff: 5 5
Santos: 4 4
Panzica: Q♣ Q

The turn and river would not being quads for either of Sam's opponents, and he'd more than triple up to 370,000.

Sam Panzica - 370,000 (60bb)

Level 16 (Blinds 2,500/5,000/500) | Structure

Players Remaining: 55

Joshua Beckley (West Palm Beach, FL) sits and waits for the "go-ahead," as the floor waited for all tables to finish before any all-ins were run out.

Hand-for-hand play lasted just three hands, with Joshua Beckley (West Palm Beach, FL) eliminated just moments ago.  Down to just three big blinds, Beckley shoved from the cutoff, and got called by Marshall White (big blind):

Beckley: A Q
White: K 4

Runout:J♠ 6 5♠ K 5

Beckley was able to fade the flop, but after White spiked a king on the turn, Joshua needed to hit a three-outer on the river to win.  The WSOP Main Event runner-up was unable to find a miracle on the river, and he'd be eliminated in 56th place, falling just one spot short o the money.

The remaining players will be heading on dinner break at the end of this level, which will last from 6:17pm-7:17pm.  Updated chip counts will be posted once play resumes.

BATB Event #14 ($1,500 NLH Championship): Uri Kadosh Gets Boost To Title Defense

Uri Kadosh (David, FL) is looking to become the first player to successfully defend their Battles At The Beach championship title.

In defense of his 2017 Battles At The Beach championship title, Uri Kadosh (Davie, FL) bagged just over 138,000 for today's Day 2.  Kadosh had been fairly quiet for most of the day, managing to keep his stack right around the number he started with.  Uri's table was approached moments ago, just as he shoved all-in (for 133,500), on the turn of a board reading J 10 7 6.  His opponent, who held a similar sized stack, took off his headphones to assess the situation.  The unknown player said something under his breath (along the lines of "I didn't come here to sit around", before verbalizing a call.  The dealer confirmed that Kadosh in fact did go all-in, and the hands were tabled:

Kadosh: A♠ J♠
Player X: A K

River: 8

Kadosh was ahead with his pair of jacks, but needed to fade a number of cards on the river.  The red card on the river was a little sweat, but it would lock up the hand for Uri, who ended up eliminating his opponent.

Uri Kadosh - 370,000 (74bb)

TJ Shulman (Boynton Beach, FL) is just a few months removed from a solid six-figure score, winning the $365 NLH opening event of the WSOP Cherokee (November).

Every decision is even more critical than normal at this point of the day, as the field is less than ten eliminations from the money. For those that aren't hampered by a short stack, now is when we see some of the bigger stacked players really lean on their opponents.  One of those players to have taken advantage of spots over the last thirty minutes, has be TJ Shulman (Boynton Beach, FL).  Shulman, who went to break with 375,000, has crossed the 500,000 mark, and is only bested by a few others across the room.

On the other side of the spectrum, we have Yaroslav Nakonechnvy, who has been spiraling downward since last featured. Yaroslav is now below 100,000, which is still over (20) big blinds, but nowhere near the mark he was at just a few hours ago. Once (56) players remain in the field, the clock will be paused, and the field will enter hand-for-hand play on the bubble.

Kevin Chan (Coral Springs, FL) knows what it takes to make a deep run in this event, finishing runner up in the 2017 Isle Classic (December) $1,500 NLH Championship Event.

Players are about to take their second break of the day, and will be returning to Level 15, with blinds of 2,000/4,000/500 (168,000 chip average).  Kevin Chan (Coral Springs, FL), who started the day with the chip, is back atop the leaderboard (with 610,000).  Many of the names that started the day in the top twenty in chips are still there, but just like Marshall White earlier, we've seen others vault up the leaderboard.  Jose Delcid (Pompano Beach, FL) started Day 2 with just under 130,000, and is now second in chips, with 545,000.  Delcid has been very chatty at the table, with his excitement somewhat understandable, as his Hendon Mob resume yields just one recorded result (in a $360 No Limit Hold'em last August).

Kevin Chan - 610,000 (152bb)
Raj Vohra - 545,000 (136bb)
TJ Shulman - 375,000 (93bb)

Yaroslav Nakonechnvy (Las Vegas, NV) got a great flop while holding his pocket aces, one which allowed for his opponent to shove over his flop bet.

As we approached Table 11, Idris Ambraisse would have his hood covering his head, all-in for his remaining 12,200.  The original three-bet that was made (by Yaroslav Nakonechnvy) was more than Idris's remaining chips, so after Philip Consolo and Josias Santos called, there would be a side pot in play as well.  The dealer fanned out a flop of 10♠ 10 10, with Santos checking to Yaroslav, who put forward a bet of 50,000.  Consolo went into the tank for close to two minutes, before announcing himself all-in (for just over 140,000), causing Santos to release his hand.  Yaroslav quickly made the call, and after Consolo turned over Q♠ Q♣, he would follow by tabling A♠ A♣.  Idris was drawing thin (holding A K), with the other two players involved eagerly awaiting the turn and river.

There would be no miracle for Consolo, as the turn brought the 4♠, followed by the 5♣ on the river.  Philip's chips would be counted down, but Yaroslav had him covered, eliminating Consolo (and Idris) from play.  Nakonechnvy now sits 375,000, and is one of the top ten stacks in the field.

Yaroslav Nakonechnvy - 375,000 (125bb)

Joseph Gotlieb (Hollywood, FL) is tried and tested in a tournament of this magnitude, having won the WSOP Circuit Main   ($1,675 No Limit Hold'em) at Hard Rock in September of last year.

Table 10 was passed at just the right moment, as the final stages were caught of a hand between Luke Brereton and Joseph Gotlieb (Hollywood, FL).  Joseph would check the river of a board that read 107 Q Q♣ 2♣, with Brereton pushing forward a stack of yellow chips (100,000), which was enough to put Gotlieb all-in.  Joseph quickly made the call, and tabled his hand before Luke even had a chance to react, showing 7♠ 7♣ (flopping bottom set, and turning a full house).

Brereton never showed his hand, just tossing it towards the muck, and waiting for the dealer to count down Gotlieb's stack.  Luke would have to send 72,500 the way of Gotlieb, dropping him down below the 80,000 mark.

Joseph Gotlieb - 250,000 (104bb)
Luke Brereton - 80,000 (33bb)
