Just as the Kentucky Derby was finishing up, the "nightly" tournament was getting going...the $75 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD). The tournament would attract a field of (73) entries, and end up with an official prize pool of $5,000. Ten spots were scheduled to reach the money, with a min-cash worth $150, and $1,699 going to the eventual first place winner. There would be eleven spots paid out last night though, as Alvaro Grisales and Camillo Poerio shared tenth place money, having been eliminated on the same hand from separate tables (earning $75 each). Final table action would continue until two players remained, at which point a heads-up deal was agreed to. The event's official results are posted below.
