Tuesday, September 25th: "Win, Place, Show" Returns, As The Evening $175 NLH ($25,000 GTD) Headlines The Schedule

ICYMI: The third week of September started with a $80 No Limit Hold'em event (11:00am), that boasted a $2,500 guaranteed prize pool.  What we ended up seeing, was one of the largest afternoon fields in a long while.  A total of (51) entries showed on the tournament clock at registration's close, and after the optional add-ons were included into the prize pool, it would officially close at $3,427.  There would be seven players scheduled to reach the money, and after the "in-the-money" eliminations of Allan Werner and John Joffey, the remaining five players would agree to a deal.  Michael Dotson earned first place money in the chop, and would walk away with $817.  Official results are listed below:
  1. Michael Dotson (Jupiter, FL) $817
  2. Marianne Dewitt (Lauderdale Lakes, FL) $650
  3. Brian Haines (Southwest Ranches, FL) $585
  4. Michael Ladda (Delray Beach, FL) $541
  5. Greg Weiss (Pompano Beach, FL) $474
  6. John Joffey (Davie, FL) $206
  7. Allan Werner (Cooper City, FL) $154
The evening tournament (6:00pm) was a $100 No Limit Hold'em event, which ran without. posted guarantee.  The field would officially close with (10) total entries, and a prize pool of $790.  Two spots were scheduled to get paid, and once the money bubble burst, the final two players agreed to a deal (with the official results posted below):
  1. Daniel Shortley (Lake Worth, FL) $450
  2. Michael McGill (Coral Springs, FL) $340
Tournaments: The day's tournament schedule begins at 11:00am, with an $80 No Limit Hold'em ($2,500 GTD) event.  The tournament is structured with 12,000 unit starting stacks, levels that last (20) minutes, and registration that is open through Level 8.  At registration's close, players will have the opportunity to purchase an "add-on," receiving 10,000 units for $20.  This tournament is also eligible for the "free seats" to this Friday's $80 No Limit Hold'em ($3,000 GTD).  Any player that makes quads or better (during the afternoon tournament), will receive entry into the tournament just listed.

At 6:00pm, we see one of the headlining single-day events of the money, as the $175 No Limit Hold'em ($25,000 GTD) gets underway.  The tournament is structured with 20,000 unit starting stacks, and levels that last (20) minutes.  Registration is open through Level 10, allowing a little "extra" time for players to join the action.

Promotions: Tuesday's promotions start with the every-popular Full House Early Bird, with the first (25) full houses awarded up to $60.  The amount won depends on which game is being played, as 2/2 Limit Hold'em players earn $20 (for each full house while eligible), 2/4 Limit Hold'em players earning $40 (for each full house while eligible), and $60 for those playing: 1/2 No Limit Hold'em, 2/5 No Limit Hold'em, 5/10 No Limit Hold'em, 3/6 Limit Hold'em, and 8/16 O.E.

The standard high hands begin at 10:00am (because off the full house promotion), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes. During that period , the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.

At 6:00pm (through midnight), the promotion transitions to something the room has never seen before...the "Win, Place, Show" high hand promotion.  There will be THREE high hands awarded every hour, with the money awarded based on the strength of the qualifying hands.  So yes...players have the opportunity to grab one...two... three of the high hands that are up for grab.  Payouts are listed below:
