Monday, October 11th: "Final Table Finish" Looking To Reward A Player With A Five-Figure Score, Action Underway At 6:00PM!!

ICYMI: Sunday's $400 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD) attracted yet another impressive field, consisting of (107) entries.  With the slight dip in numbers we've seen since the start of the WSOP in Las Vegas, this was a very promising result.  A total of (14) players were scheduled to earn a piece of the $37,236 prize pool, with action playing down to a heads-up chop.  David Lopez and Charlemagne Benjamin agreed to a deal that saw each walk away with an impressive return on investment.  Official results from the tournament are listed below:
  1. David Lopez (Pembroke Pines, FL) $9,403
  2. Charlemagne Benjamin (Miami Gardens, FL) $8,656
  3. David Rauch (Pompano Beach, FL) $4,133
  4. Jennifer Aguilar (Mineola, NY) $2,700
  5. Angelo Castaldi (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $2,085
  6. David Barbieri (Coconut Creek, FL) $1,713
  7. Joseph Kearns (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $1,452
  8. Evgeny Kharchenko (Hallandale Beach, FL) $1,266
  9. Michael Wetcher (Davie, FL) $1,117
  10. Miguel Martinez (Parkland, FL) $987
  11. Dmitri Bushnyi (Key West, FL) $987
  12. Ryan Estrada (Sunrise, FL) $987
  13. Michael Johnson (Miami, FL) $875
  14. Shamica Lamar (Wellington, FL) $875
Tournaments: At 6:00pm this evening, the $250 No Limit Hold'em ($10,000 GTD) "Final Table Finish" returns, with a little wrinkle.  This particular tournament had such a good structure, that the final table action ran into the closing time of the poker room (players are then faced with chopping, or bagging for a Day 2).  To keep that from occurring, there will be some slight changes moving forward.

The event will be structured with 25,000 chip starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and open registration through Level 8 (and the break that follows).  The new format-wrinkle comes into play when discussing payouts, as the tournament will pay out just the final table, regardless of how many entries.  Exact payout percentages are as follows (final tables are now nine-handed):
  1. 40%
  2. 18%
  3. 10%
  4. 7%
  5. 7%
  6. 6%
  7. 6%
  8. 3%
  9. 3%
Promotions: From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.
