Monday, September 13th: "Final Table Finish" Puts A Bow On Another Week Of Tournament Action!

ICYMI: Sunday's $400 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD) continues to eclipse the posted guarantee each weekend, offering up some impressive payouts in the process.  Last night's installment attracted a total of (88) entries, which equated to an official prize pool of $30,624.  Of those entries, (11) players were scheduled to reach the money, with action playing down to a four-handed final table.  At that point Luis Dominguez Nunez (Miami, FL) held a majority of the remaining chips, and received $8,077 in a four-way deal.  The storyline was regarding the second place finisher (Scott Hecker), whose 14.32 leaderboard points put him atop the monthly rankings.  Official results from the tournament are listed below:
  1. Luis Dominguez Nunez (Miami, FL) $8,077
  2. Scott Hecker (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $4,983
  3. Mark Rakoff (West Palm Beach, FL) $4,528
  4. Rafael Perez Guerrero (Hollywood, FL) $4,484
  5. Michael Bailine (Davie, FL) $1,914
  6. Charles Benoit (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $1,531
  7. James Tomblin (Wilton Manors, FL) $1,271
  8. Neal Corcoran (Stuart, FL) $1,072
  9. Ronel Juan (West Palm Beach, FL) $988
  10. Anthony Casas (Miami, FL) $919
  11. David Poces (Boca Raton, FL) $857

Tournaments: At 6:00pm this evening, the $250 No Limit Hold'em ($10,000 GTD) "Final Table Finish" returns, with a little wrinkle.  This particular tournament had such a good structure, that the final table action ran into the closing time of the poker room (players are then faced with chopping, or bagging for a Day 2).  To keep that from occurring, there will be some slight changes moving forward.

The event will be structured with 25,000 chip starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and open registration through Level 8 (and the break that follows).  The new format-wrinkle comes into play when discussing payouts, as the tournament will pay out just the final table, regardless of how many entries.  Exact payout percentages are as follows (final tables are now nine-handed):
  1. 40%
  2. 18%
  3. 10%
  4. 7%
  5. 7%
  6. 6%
  7. 6%
  8. 3%
  9. 3%
Promotions: From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.
