Saturday, September 18th: Robert Leff Tops Three-Way Deal, Enters Top Five On The Leaderboard

ICYMI: In tournament poker, longevity is not something you see often, as it is extremely difficult to evolve along with the game.  In last night's $160 No Limit Hold'em ($5,00 GTD), we saw two tournament veterans atop the results, as part of a three-way deal.  The event attracted a total of (97) entries, and had an official prize pool of $11,834.  The top (13) players reached the money, with action playing down to a three-handed final table.  Robert Leff had the chip lead when the chop discussions started, and ended up taking home $2,808 for first place.  Michael Newman and Anderson Patino rounded out the deal, in second and third respectively.  Official results from the tournament (along with an updated Player of the Month leaderboard) are posted below:

  2. Michael Newman (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $2,681

Tournaments: Saturday's 6:00pm tournament is one of the most popular on the schedule, as it offers an incredibly affordable buy-in, that always sees some great returns.  The $130 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) event has consistently crushing the posted guarantee, as the prize pool reaches five-figures on a weekly basis.

The tournament is structured with starting stacks of 12,000 chips, and levels that last (20) minutes throughout the event.  Registration is open through Level 8, allowing for almost three hours of play, prior to the window closing for the night.

Promotions: From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.
