Wednesday, July 10th: "Satellite Week" Begins For The 2019 Florida State Poker Championships

ICYMI: Tuesday's tournament schedule began with the $80 No Limit Hold'em ($1,500 GTD) event, which has been an interesting event to follow.  When registration ended, there were (13) entries total, only (4) of which were remaining.  With the ability to buy-in and utilize the add-on, five players ended up joining the action with the 32,000 stack (32 big blinds), during the registration break.  When the dust settled, the $1,500 prize pool was scheduled to be paid out across three spots, with action playing down to an outright winner (with the official results listed below):
  1. Ryan Hollander (Deerfield Beach, FL) $750
  2. Glen Gion (Tamarac, FL) $450
  3. Blaine McRae (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $300
The 6:00pm time slot hosted the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Chip Buster" ($2,000 GTD), an event that had no problem eclipsing the posted guarantee.  Registration for the tournament closed with a total of (31) entries, and an official prize pool of $3,007 (which was scheduled to be paid out across four spots).  Once again, we saw the action play down to an outright winner, with the official results of the tournament listed below:
  1. Roberto Desogos (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $1,215
  2. Paula Hramika (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $950
  3. Ronald Sorci (Parkland, FL) $511
  4. Michael Boykin (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $331
Tournaments: From today until next Monday, each day's tournament schedule focuses on satellites for the 2019 Florida State Poker Championships.  There are two $60 NLH Step-Satellites on the schedule (at 11:00am and 6:00pm), both of which offer (3) guaranteed seats into a $250 NLH Satellite into Event #1 of the FSPC ($1,100 No Limit Hold'em $100,000 GTD).

Sandwiched between those two step-satellites (at 3:00pm), is a $80 NLH Step-Satellite, that offers (3) guaranteed seats into a $340 NLH Mega-Satellite into the FSPC Main Event ($1,500 No Limit Hold'em $300,000 GTD).

Promotions: Outside of the "standard" high hands, the poker opens with the Early Bird Full House Promotion.  The proceedings begin once the doors of the poker room open, with the first (25) full houses made, earning a $50 prize.  Each jackpot eligible cash game is included in the promotion, with two rules to keep in mind, when thinking about winning the $50.  In order to be eligible, the full house must be made using two cards, and must be the winning hand.

The "standard" high hands will be awarding up to $300 every (20) minutes (from 9:00am-12:00am).  Every jackpot game is eligible for the same amount, with the full $300 being awarded to high hands that are made using two cards.  Those made using one card, will be awarded $150.  For those players in tournaments, two-card high hands are worth $100, with one-card high hands walking away with $50.

From 12:00am-3:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
