ICYMI: Thursday's $180 No Limit Hold'em "Double Green Chip Bounty" ($5,000 GTD) made headlines because of the top two finishers, and their relation to the Player of the Month leaderboard. Registration for the event closed with a total of (45) entries, and an official prize pool of $4,095. A total of six players were scheduled to reach the money, with action playing down to an outright winner. Anderson Patino would best Danilo Parada heads-up, to win his second tournament of the month. In addition to the monetary prizes each won, the leaderboard points may end up being even more important. Parada used those point to distance himself from second place on the rankings, while Patino helped vault up the rankings. Tournaments: With the arrival of the weekend, comes the $160 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD)...the tournament that started this incredible tournament resurgence at the Isle Casino Pompano Park poker room. The cards get in the air at 6:00pm, with players sitting down to starting stacks of 15,000. Levels will last (20) minutes throughout the evening, with registration open through Level 8 (and the break that follows).
Promotions: From 9:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10). From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.
In addition to the high hands, there is a "bonus" promotion in place, which offers $1,000 to the highest hand from the 9:00am-12:00pm time period. If a player makes a straight flush in the 9:00am-9:30am qualifying period, and that is the best qualifying high hand from 9:00am-12:00pm, they will earn an extra $1,000 (in addition to the $300 they were awarded for the half-hour time period).
