ICYMI: After the excitement and buzz of the WSOP Circuit at the Isle Casino Pompano, an "off night" for tournaments could have been predicted.  Thursday's $180 No Limit Hold'em "Mystery Bounty" ($5,000 GTD) attracted a total of (37) entries, which equated to an official prize pool of $2,417.  Official results from the event are listed below:
  1. Michael Elkin (Coconut Creek, FL) $991
  2. Andrew Daire (Boca Raton, FL) $484
  3. Sandy Matza (Plantation, FL) $483

Tournaments: With the arrival of the weekend, comes the $160 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD)...the tournament that started this incredible tournament resurgence at the Isle Casino Pompano Park poker room.  The cards get in the air at 6:00pm, with players sitting down to starting stacks of 15,000.  Levels will last (20) minutes throughout the evening, with registration open through Level 8 (and the break that follows).

Promotions: From 9:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.

In addition to the high hands, there is a "bonus" promotion in place, which offers $1,000 to the highest hand from the 9:00am-12:00pm time period.  If a player makes a straight flush in the 9:00am-9:30am qualifying period, and that is the best qualifying high hand from 9:00am-12:00pm, they will earn an extra $1,000 (in addition to the $300 they were awarded for the half-hour time period).
