Tuesday, June 25th: It's A Day Full Of Promotions, Headlined By The "Early Bird Full House," And Evening "Turbo High Hands"

ICYMI: Monday's recurring tournament scheduled started with the $130 Omaha 8B Hi/Lo ($2,500 GTD) event, for only the third time in recent history.  A total of (25) entries would be needed to reach the posted guarantee, and that was exactly the amount that the field ended up closing with.  Of that number, four players were scheduled to reach the money, but played was halted with seven players remaining (as discussions of a deal began).  A chop was eventually agreed to, with the official results listed below:
  1. Brian Levine (Pompano Beach, FL) $667
  2. Cesar Garcia (Miramar, FL) $476
  3. Roberto Herrera (Coral Springs, FL) $436
  4. Stanley Oremland (Parkland, FL) $279
  5. Lee Schneider (Pompano Beach, FL) $253
  6. Alan Beyda (Coral Springs, FL) $204
  7. Michael Guardino (Coconut Creek, FL) $185
The evening time slot hosted a $90 No Limit Hold'em event, which boasted a $1,500 guaranteed prize pool.  Registration for the tournament closed with (20) entries, and after including the "front-end" add-ons into the number, the prize pool reached $1,500.  Three spots were scheduled to reach the money, and after the elimination of Oscar Matos (Pompano Beach, FL) in third place, a heads-up deal was agreed to (official results listed below):
  1. Roberto Desogos (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $614
  2. James Newcomb (Parkland, FL) $586
  3. Oscar Matos (Pompano Beach, FL) $300
Tournaments: The afternoon time slot (11:00am) hosts an $80 No Limit Hold'em event, which boasts a $1,500 guaranteed prize pool.  The tournament is structured with 12,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  At the end of registration (prior to Level 9), players have the option to add-on, with a single ($20) or double ($40) add-on.

At 3:00pm (and at that time all week), there will be an $80 No Limit Hold'em Satellite, which will award (3) guaranteed seats into a $340 NLH Florida State Poker Championship Main Event Mega-Satellite.

The 6:00pm event has quickly become a favorite of the recurring tournament players.  The $130 No Limit Hold'em "Chip Buster" has a $2,000 guaranteed prize pool, which is sure to be surpassed, by the time registration closes.  The tournament is structured with 50,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and has registration that is open through Level 8 (and the break that follows).

Promotions: Outside of the "standard" high hands, the poker opens with the Early Bird Full House Promotion.  The proceedings begin once the doors of the poker room open, with the first (25) full houses made, earning a $50 prize.  Each jackpot eligible cash game is included in the promotion, with two rules to keep in mind, when thinking about winning the $50.  In order to be eligible, the full house must be made using two cards, and must be the winning hand.

The day's "standard" high hand period will last from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

From 12:00am-3:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.

It should be noted, that from 6:00pm-10:00pm, there will be $250 high hands awarded every (15) minutes.  The winning high hands that are made using two cards will be awarded the full $250 prize, while those using one card will be awarded $125.
