With Thursday being a holiday, it was no surprise that the evening tournament ($80 No Limit Hold'em $1,500 GTD) saw some elevated numbers. The registration period closed with (43) total entries, and once the optional add-ons were collected, the prize pool close at $3,265. Tournaments: Thursday's tournament schedule sees the return of a "staple," along with the introduction of a new event. The day's action begins at 11:00an, with the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($1,500 GTD). The player-friendly event is structured with 25,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8. This tournament has a history of attracted nice sized fields, with today's installment expected nothing less.
At 3:00pm, there will be an $60 No Limit Hold'em Step-Satellite, which will award (3) guaranteed seats into a $250 NLH Florida State Poker Championship Event #1 ($1,100 No Limit Hold'em) Satellite.
The "Monster Stack" is followed at 6:00pm, by a $130 No Limit Hold'em "Green Chip Bounty" ($2,000 GTD) event. The tournament is structured with starting stacks of 15,000 units, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8. Throughout the tournament, each player elimination is worth $25 (hence the green chip bounty).
Promotions: Outside of the "standard" high hands, the poker opens with the Early Bird Full House Promotion. The proceedings begin once the doors of the poker room open, with the first (25) full houses made, earning a $50 prize. Each jackpot eligible cash game is included in the promotion, with two rules to keep in mind, when thinking about winning the $50. In order to be eligible, the full house must be made using two cards, and must be the winning hand.
The "standard" high hands have changed in a big way today, as they will be awarding up to $300 every (20) minutes (from 9:00am-12:00am). Every jackpot game is eligible for the same amount, with the full $300 being awarded to high hands that are made using two cards. Those made using one card, will be awarded $150. For those players in tournaments, two-card high hands are worth $100, with one-card high hands walking away with $50.
From 12:00am-3:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
