Friday, June 28th: With The Weekend's Arrival, A Tournament Slate With $4,000 (In Combined) Guarantees, Headlines the Day

ICYMI: Thursday morning started in very interesting fashion, as the 11:00am event did not draw enough players to get started (each tournament must have 4 entries in the first 30 minutes, in order to get underway).  Because of that, the event was canceled, and players would have to look towards the evening event for action.

The 6:00pm tournament got underway without a hitch, as the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Bounty" event saw registration close with (23) entries.  That meant three players were scheduled to grab a piece of the $1,656 prize pool (bounties not included), with first place to walk away with $828.  Players ended up agreeing to a four-way deal (on the money bubble), with the official results listed below:
  1. Jeffrey Oldakowski (Pompano Beach, FL) $598
  2. Jan Sayfie (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $407
  3. Antonio Jarrett (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $385
  4. Ryan George (Boynton Beach, FL) $266
Tournaments: Friday's tournament action kicks off at 11:00am, with a $75 No Limit Hold'em "Survivor" ($1,000 GTD), which will see every 1 in 10 entries earn a $500 pay spot.  The tournament is structured with 14,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  This event should is very popular with players, as it is a small investment...with a large return.

At 3:00pm (and at that time all week), there will be an $80 No Limit Hold'em Satellite, which will awarded (3) guaranteed seats into a $340 NLH Florida State Poker Championship Main Event Mega-Satellite.

The evening tournament (6:00pm) is an $80 No Limit Hold'em event, which carries a $3,000 guarantee.  The tournament is structured with 12,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  At the end of registration, players have the option to add-on, choosing between a single ($20) or double ($40).

Promotions: The day's "standard" high hand period will last from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

From 12:00am-9:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.

Also, in all eligible jackpot games, if you win back-to-back high hands, you will double your winnings (up to $800).
