Saturday, February 20th: Another Strong Friday Night, With Train To "Value Town" Ready To Board At 6:00PM

ICYMI: Friday night's $150 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) is known as the headliner of the "Weekend Swing," and even with numerous events going on across the South Florida poker community, last night's tournament more than doubled the posted guarantee.  The registration period closed with a total of (99) entries, and an official prize pool of $11,385.  Players would compete to find themselves in the top thirteen, looking to take home respective shares of the prize pool.  The seats at the final table were emptying one-by-one, and it wasn't until heads-up play was reached, that a deal was made.  Those that were part of the deal (Jeremy Ehrke, Darkhan Botabayev), are names that have been really crushing since the re-opening.  Official results from the tournament are listed below:
  1. Jeremy Ehrke (Pompano Beach, FL) $3,107
  2. Darkhan Botabayev (Sunny Isles, FL) $2,500
  3. Robert Kessler (Parkland, FL) $1,309
  4. Dylan Cecere (Coconut Creek, FL) $854
  5. Neil Warner (Pompano Beach, FL) $666
  6. Timothy Mullen (Pompano Beach, FL) $532
  7. Vladimir Grechnikov (Coconut Creek, FL) $453
  8. Maxton Goncalves (Boca Raton, FL) $393
  9. Dean Stevenson (Coral Springs, FL) $347
  10. Vicki Holmes (Boynton Beach, FL) $313
  11. Ursula Buffa (Pompano Beach, FL) $313
  12. Celso Leroy (Delray Beach, FL) $313
  13. Jasmine Nuss (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $285
Tournaments: Saturday night is when the train to "value town" is scheduled, as the $100 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) returns at 6:00pm. This event has the most impressive return of any tournament on the weekly schedule, with prize pools consistently eclipsing $10,000!!!  The tournament is structured with 12,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and has registration open through Level 8 (as well as the short break that follows).  Last week's Saturday night tournament attracted a total of (147) entries, and had a prize pool of $11,025!

Promotions: Saturday's high hand promotion stays the same from open to close...awarded $200 every (30) minutes, to the qualifying high hand (must be aces-full or better).  In order to make a qualifying high hand, players must use both hole cards, as one-card high hands are no longer eligible.

  • Players start with 12,000 in tournament chips
  • Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
