  1. Francis Margaglione (Davie, FL) $32,505
  2. Ray Millard (Davie, FL) $27,457

FSPC Event #4 (Day 2): Ory Hen Loses Critical Flip, Out In 6th Place ($8,440) Just Hands Later

2018 Florida State Poker Championship
Event #4 | $360 No Limit Hold'em | $200,000 GTD
Level 26 (Blinds 25,000/50,000/50,000)
Total Event #4 Entries: 864
Event #4 Players Remaining: 5

Tournament veteran Ory Hen (Cooper City, FL) knows exactly what it takes to win tournaments, and losing flips is not part of the equation.

Winning tournaments is usually about winning flips at some point...and busting tournaments is what happens when those flips are lost.  Ory Hen called the all-in of Stephen Ibrahim (the short stack at the time), but would see his 10 10♣ lose to Ibrahim's A♣ J♠.  After he shipped the chips to Ibrahim, Hen would be left with just ten big blinds.

Ory then went all-in with that short stack moments later, losing another flip to Francis Margaglione, as his 4♠ 4♣ fell to Margaglione's Q J.

FSPC Event #4 (Day 2): Eduardo Christ Loses Flip To Ray Millard, Out In 7th Place ($7,085)

2018 Florida State Poker Championship
Event #4 | $360 No Limit Hold'em | $200,000 GTD
Level 26 (Blinds 25,000/50,000/50,000)
Total Event #4 Entries: 864
Event #4 Players Remaining: 6

Eduardo Christ (Rio De Janeiro, Brazil) came into the day as a top twenty stack, but came into the final table as one of the short stacks, departing moments after the elimination of Amy Wan.

After the elimination of Amy Wan, Eduardo Christ would be the shortest stack at the final table, shoving for 570,000 after Ray Millard opened for a raise.  With action back on Millard, he would take some time, before tossing in chips for a call:

Christ: 3♣ 3
Millard: K♣ J

Runout: 8 8♠ 6 9 J♠

The pair on the flop immediately weakened Christ's lead in the hand, but once he faded the turn, his numbers grew a little stronger.  Eduardo couldn't escape the river though, as Millard made a pair of jacks, eliminating Christ in 7th place ($7,085).

FSPC Event #4 (Day 2): Amy Wan Eliminated In 8th Place ($5,790) By Ory Hen

2018 Florida State Poker Championship
Event #4 | $360 No Limit Hold'em | $200,000 GTD
Level 26 (Blinds 25,000/50,000/50,000)
Total Event #4 Entries: 864
Event #4 Players Remaining: 7

Amy Wan (Parkland, FL) earned her second largest tournament cash, only behind her finish in the 2016 WSOP $1,500 Monster Stack.

On the last hand of Level 25, action would fold around to Amy Wan, who shoved for just over ten big blinds.  Eduardo Christ released his hand (in the small blind), with Ory Hen to act from the big.  After getting an exact count, Ory would make the call, and the two hands were tabled:

Hen: 6 6♠
Wan: A 2

Runout: 10♠ 6♣ 5♠ 2♣ 7♠

Wan would be drawing dead on the turn, and wished her final table companions good luck, before exiting the table.  Ory Hen would chip up to 1,500,000 with the pot, while Amy would collect $5,790 for her 8th place finish.

FSPC Event #4 (Day 2): Jerry Gonzalez Eliminated In 9th Place ($4,520) By Francis Margaglione

2018 Florida State Poker Championship
Event #4 | $360 No Limit Hold'em | $200,000 GTD
Level 25 (Blinds 20,000/40,000/40,000)
Total Event #4 Entries: 864
Event #4 Players Remaining: 8

Jerry Gonzalez (Miami, FL) spent most of the day under the radar, after starting the day with a top ten stack.

After action folded to Jerry Gonzalez (on the cutoff), he would raise it up 125,000, with the button and small blind folding behind.  Francis Margaglione, who was in the big blind, three-bet to 300,000. Gonzalez took little time before four-bet ripping (for close to 1,500,000), with Francis quickly making the call:

Margaglione: Q Q♣
Gonzalez: J J

Runout: 10♠ 7♣ 2♠ 5 3♠

"Why did I do that," Jerry said to himself after the hand, lamenting the line that he decided to take in the hand.  It's hard to see how the chips wouldn't get in with that flop and turn, but regardless, Jerry walks away with $4,520 for ninth place.

Level 24 (Blinds 20,000/30,000/30,000)
Total Event #4 Entries: 864
Event #4 Players Remaining: 9

Alex Gladunov (Boca Raton, FL) had visions of a deep final table run, but saw things cut short, after a unlucky runout gave his opponent a straight on the river.

With the stacks as deep as they are at the final table, one would think that things were going to start out slow...but that was not the case.  Alex Gladunov found himself all-in and at risk on the second hand of the final table, with his J♠ J up against the A♠ K♣ of Francis Margaglione.  The board would end up running out 9 4♠ 3♣ 2♠ 5♣, giving Francis the wheel on the river, and sending Alex to the rail.  This result was Gladunov's largest career tournament cash, and a solid run for the player that came into Day 2 with the overall chip lead.

FSPC Event #4 (Day 2): Bonsignore Knocked Out On Final Table Bubble, Players Redrawing For Seats

2018 Florida State Poker Championship
Event #4 | $360 No Limit Hold'em | $200,000 GTD
Level 24 (Blinds 20,000/30,000/30,000)
Total Event #4 Entries: 864
Event #4 Players Remaining: 10

2018 has been a breakout tournament year for Michael Bonsignore (Hollywood, FL), who just added to those numbers, with an 11th place finish in Event #4 ($3,810).

Michael Bonsignore (Hollywood, FL) was the shortest stack remaining, trying to cling to a stack of less than ten bigs.  He'd shove from early position for 275,000, and would be called by Juan Martinez.  The rest of the table folded behind, and the cards were then tabled:

Bonsignore: Q♣ J♣
Martinez: A J♠

Runout: 9♠ 7♠ 8♠ 7♣ 9

Michael was asking for clubs as the dealer prepared to fan out the flop, but ended up seeing a board that would bring no help to his hand.  He'd be eliminated in 11th place ($3,810), with the rest of the players redrawing for their final table seats.

FSPC Event #4 (Day 2): After Elimination Of Nagui Yassa In 12th Place, Field On The Final Table Bubble

Event #4 Players Remaining: 11

Nagui Yassa (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) just saw his career earning eclipse $185,000 with today's 12th place finish ($3,810).

After Nagui Yassa (big blind) called a raise from Stephen Ibrahim, he would check-shove for just over 550,000, on a Q♠ J 7♣ flop.  Stephen took little time before making the call, and would watch as Yassa rolled over J♣ 5♣.  Ibrahim then tabled Q 10♠, with Yassa at risk for his tournament life, as a pretty firm underdog.  The 3♣ on the turn would bring new hopes to Nagui, who could then win the pot with any club on the river as well.  The 9♠ on the river was not the card he was looking for, and Yassa would be eliminated in 12th place, leaving the field on the final table bubble.

Stephen Ibrahim - 1,350,000
Nagui Yassa - 12th Place ($3,810)

Thomas Puccio (Miami Beach, FL) had been grinding a super short stack for most of the afternoon, with his patience finally paying off just moments ago.

Thomas Puccio (Miami Beach, FL) was doing his best manage a stack of less than ten big blinds for over an hour, and with the blinds at 8,000/16,000 (this was at the end of Level 21), Puccio would shove for 96,000.  Michael Marks would then reshove for 260,000, with Paul Shafran shoving as well, having both players covered.  Action folded behind, and the cards would be tabled:

Puccio: 5♠ 5♣
Marks: A K♣
Shafran: K K♠

Runout: J♠ 5♣ 4 2♠ 9♠

"This is my lucky hand," Puccio said, as he stood from his chair and prepared for the runout.  A loud clap could be heard when the flop came down, with a big "woo-hoo" once his hand was good.  Thomas received 96,000 from both Marks and Shafran, while Shafran eliminated Michael Marks in the side pot.

Juan Martinez quickly asked if anyone had aces once all of the action was completed, and liked to hear the silence, as he knew he'd be going into the hand with the best of it.

At Table 1, Juan Martinez would open the action with a raise to 66,000, followed by Sara Chau three-bet shoving for 371,000.  Joe Gaylo was next to act, and after a few moments in the tank, he would announce a call (having both players covered).  Martinez quickly called for less, and the three hands would be tabled:

Martinez: K♠ K
Chau: 10 10♠
Gaylo: A♠ Q♣

Runout: 6 2 2♠ 5 5

Juan's pair of kings held up through the runout, helping him triple up, while Chau would win a side pot from Gaylo.

Level 19 (Blinds 5,000/10,000/10,000)
Total Event #4 Entries: 864
Event #4 Players Remaining: 33

Francis Margaglione (Davie, FL) may have lucked out that Armando Del Pozo didn't three-bet after Jay Convente's shove, as he was able to see a flop with marginal holding (only to flop trips).

Jay Convente (Jupiter, FL) started the day as the second shortest stack, but managed to stay alive through the first ninety-minutes of play.  He'd go all-in for his final 50,000, with Armando Del Pozo flatting, and action folding around to Francis Margaglione.  Francis made the call as well, and the three players would see a flop of A A♠ 2♠.  The two active players would check, and the dealer then followed with the 6♣ on the turn.  Margaglione casually tossed out a 50,000 bet, with Del Pozo making the call, as they watched the 4 complete the board.  Francis pushed forward a stack of 100,000, sending Armando into the tank, as he counted down his remaining stack (he had just over 300,000 remaining).

Eventually, Armando would announce a call, and watched as Francis tabled A♣ 5.  Convente tossed over his J♠ J♣, with Del Pozo asking if he had to show his hand.  He voluntarily flipped up Q♠ Q, but he holdings would only be good for second place.  Margaglione eliminated Convente, who earned his largest lifetime cash, getting $1,315 for 35th place.

Francis Margaglione - 870,000 (87bb)
Armando Del Pozo - 140,000 (14bb)

FSPC Event #4 (Day 2): Ray Millard Knocks Out Bruce Snell In Largest Pot Of Tournament

Event #4 Players Remaining: 35

Ray Millard (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) became the chip leader just moments, eliminating Bruce Snell, in what was the largest pot of the tournament.

The eyes were on Table 3, while a four-way hand was unfolding, but they should have been on Table 9.  We turned around to see pot of over 1,000,000 chips, and quickly ran over to the table.  The hand was between Bruce Snell and Ray Millard, with the two on the river, on a board that read 7 5 3 8♣ K♠.  The pot had already swelled to over seven figures, and Millard had announced himself all-in (for over 700,000).  Snell (who had 380,000 left) was standing up, and actually began to collect his belongings, before announcing a call.  Millard tabled K K, having rivered a set, and hitting a two-outer against Snell's 5 5♣.  Bruce's premonition about having the second best hand was correct, and he'd be eliminated in 36th place ($1,315).

Millard becomes the overwhelming chip leader with the pot, and is the first player to eclipse the 2,000,000 chip mark.

Ray Millard - 2,000,000 (250bb)

At Table 1, Hayes Rodriguez (Royal Palm Beach, FL) would open the action with a raise to 14,000, with two players calling (one of those being Sara Chau).  The flop came down A 9 3, with Rodriguez continuing for 30,000, and Chau making the call (the other play in the hand folded).  After the 4♠ on the turn, Rodriguez would rip for 120,000, with Chau making the call, and putting him at risk:

Board: A 9 3 4♠

Rodriguez: Q Q♣
Chau: A♠ Q♠

River: K♣

Rodriguez would be drawing to one out to potentially stay alive, but it would fail to fall on the river.  He would be eliminated in 41st place, earning himself $1,090.

Sara Chau - 600,000 (100bb)
