ICYMI: With the calendar page turning yesterday, so begins another race to win a Player of the Month title. Saturday's schedule was headlined by the $130 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD), with a $500 Chip Leader Bonus for the leader at the end of registration. Last night's registration closed with a total of (54) players, and an official prize pool of $4,900 (with the bonus removed from the payouts). Seven players were scheduled to reach the money with action playing down to an outright winner. Anderson Patino bested Anthony Kern during heads up play, earning $1,811 for the win. Tournaments: This afternoon's tournament is getting a little upgrade, as we see the return of a guaranteed prize pool, in addition to the "final table finish" format. The $400 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD) event gets underway at 12:00pm, and is structured with 30,000 chip starting stacks. Levels will last (30) minutes throughout the entirety of the event, with registration open through Level 10 (and the break that follows). As mentioned, the "final table finish" is in place, meaning that regardless of where the prize pool closes, it will be paid out to only the top nine spots (those that make the final table). There is a $20,000 guaranteed first place prize, which is sure to attract a special crowd (so get there early)!!!
Promotions: From 9:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $200 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10). From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.
