Saturday, April 27th: "Staple" Saturday Tournament Schedule, With The Return Of $500 High Hands (6:00PM-10:00PM)

ICYMI: Friday's tournament schedule kicked off with the $75 No Limit Hold'em "Survivor," which had a $1,500 guarantee (increased from it's normal $1,000 guarantee).  The event's field would end up seeing a total of (18) entries at registration's end, and an official prize pool that fell directly on the posted number. Three spots were scheduled to earn $500 paydays, but when players reached the money bubble, a chop was agreed to (with results listed below):
  1. Luis Aberdabbo (Boca Raton, FL) $500
  2. Lee Schneider (Pompano Beach, FL) $334
  3. Arnold Cohen (West Palm Beach, FL) $333
  4. Salvatore Accardi (Pompano Beach, FL) $333
The evening time slot (6:00pm) hosted an $80 No Limit Hold'em event, that boasted a guaranteed prize pool of $2,000.  That number would be eclipsed with ease, as the field closed with (40) total entries, which equated to $2,740.  The payouts were scheduled to be spread across five spots, and while that number didn't change, the actual prizes were altered in a deal:
  1. Jan Sayfie (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $715
  2. Jerrold Solov (Pompano Beach, FL) $551
  3. Anthony Vulkis (Pompano Beach, FL) $529
  4. Paul Mabel (Coral Springs, FL) $488
  5. Jacque Doucette (Lake Worth, FL) $457
Tournaments: Saturday's recurring tournament schedule begins at 11:00am, with a $130 No Limit Hold'em "Seniors 50+" event, which boasts a $1,500 guaranteed prize pool.  The tournament has a very player-friendly structure, with 15,000 unit starting stacks, and (25) minute levels.  Registration for the tournament is open through Level 8, and the ten minute break that follows.

The 6:00pm event is open to players of all ages, and has quickly become a favorite of the players.  The $130 No Limit Hold'em "Chip Buster" has a $2,500 guaranteed prize pool, which is sure to be surpassed, by the time registration closes.  The tournament is structured with 50,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and has registration that is open through Level 8 (and the break that follows).

Promotions: The high hands will run from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

There is a "special" promotion that starts this evening, that will also run every Friday and Saturday in April (from 6:00pm-10:00pm).  During the listed four-hour time period, high hands will be worth $500, and will be awarded every (20) minutes.  In order for the qualifying high hand to be awarded the $500 prize, the hand must be made using both hole cards.  Qualifying high hands that are made with one-card, will be awarded a $250 prize.

From 12:00am-9:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
