Joseph Gale (Delray Beach, FL) is looking to made these deep runs in multis a monthly thing, after chopping this same event just over four weeks ago.

Players are now in the "homestretch" of Flight 1C, with four schedules levels of play remaining.  Joseph Gale (Delray Beach, FL) has managed to make his way to the top of the counts, returning from break with 144,000.  Gale's name may sound familiar, having just chopped this same event last month ($200 No Limit Hold'em), taking home a fourth place share in the deal.  The result was worth $13,676, and stands as his largest cash to date.

Joseph Gale - 144,000 (72bb)
Matthew Vetstein - 130,000 (65bb)
William Swicicki - 128,000 (64bb)

If William Swicicki (Tamarac, FL) was to bag the Flight 1C chip lead, his "bonus" would be heading into Day 2 in a great position.

William Swicicki (Tamarac, FL) has quietly trended in the right direction since returning from the registration break, and looks to be heading to the final break with the overall flight chip lead.  Sitting with just over 150,000, William was quick to ask the tournament staff if their was a bonus for bagging the chip lead, but learned there would be no reward (other than coming into Day 2 in a great position).  Swicicki has seen some recent success in these multis, cashing in both the $175 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD) and $200 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD), that were run last month.

Once player return from their final break, there will be four more levels scheduled to be played, with the bagging process underway at Level 16's conclusion.  If the point where (10) players remain in the field (before Level 16's end), the clock will be paused then, and the bagging process will begin.

William Swicicki - 157,000 (98bb)

Tal Maduel (Israel) recorded his first tournament result on American soil this past January, but is still searching for his first Isle Poker Room tournament cash.

Just over fifteen minutes ago, Tal Maduel (Israel) was sitting with thirteen big blinds (13,000), but managed to triple up in a three way all-in.  His 10♠ 10 held up against A K♠ and 9 9, on a runout of K♣ J♠ 10 7♠ 6♣, helping him chip up to 50,000.  Maduel would then eliminate Georges Boyadjian two hands later, brining his count up to 80,000.  Maduel is now top five of the remaining players in the room, after having one foot out the door in Level 10.

Tal Maduel - 83,000 (69bb)

Matthew Vetstein (Boston, FL) has better live tournament results than his brother Chad, but is looking for a highlighting score, similar to Chad's ACR "Milly" tournament win (online).

Play entered Level 10 just a few minutes ago, with a new name atop the leaderboard, as Matthew Vetstein (Boston, MA) assumes the top spot.  Vetstein was one of the later arrivals in the field, but has done well in the short while seated at Table 2.  Matthew has recorded three results on Hendon Mob in 2018, including a cash in the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em Single-Ante ($50,000 GTD) event that was run towards the end of April (27th place - $1,951).  Also towards the top of the chip counts is Alberto Niebla, who got there by rivering a straight flush in an all-in pot, against a shorter stacked opponent. The chips were definitely nice to have for Alberto, but that hand also won him a free seat into the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em event during the upcoming Florida State Poker Championships.

Matthew Vetstein - 90,000 (90bb)
Alberto Niebla - 80,000 (80bb)
Paul Shafran - 75,000 (75bb)
Bob Zuckerman - 70,000 (70bb)
Steve Olivier - 66,000 (66bb)
Joseph Gale - 65,000 (65bb)
Steve Lamm - 65,000 (65bb)
Steve Costa - 50,000 (50bb)

With the cards now in the air for Level 9, registration for Flight 1C is officially closed, with a total of (91) entries.  There are (48) players still actively trying to reach the bagging process, with updated chip counts from those to follow.  The $13,832 from this flight, combined with the two flights that were played yesterday, gives us a currently prize pool of $28,644.  With the flight being the halfway point of the event, the numbers are behind the pace needed to reach the guarantee, meaning we are sounding the "overlay alarm."  While it may be a little early to mention, we can tell you that the final three flights need to average (147) entries to reach the posted $100,000 guarantee.

Steven Zukowski (Pompano Beach, FL) has made a habit of cashing in tournaments here at the Isle Poker Room, but hasn't recorded a result since the Battles At The Beach (March).

During one of the final hands in Level 7, Steven Zukowski (Pompano Beach, FL) would find himself a double, which made him one of the top three stacks in the field.  Steven held 6♠ 6♣ against Robert Zuckerman's A♠ 10, on a board of A♣ 6 4♣ K 8♠, ending up with a stack of 70,000 after the pot was pushed his way.  Zukowski trails only Steve Olivier at the moment, who is looking to become the first player to eclipse the century mark (Olivier currently has 85,000).

Players will be heading on their second break of the day at this level's conclusion, with registration closing once the cards are in the air for Level 9.

Posted below is the official schedule for the 2018 Florida State Poker Championship, which is the tenth anniversary of the prestigious series.  There are (17) primary events over the course of three weeks in July, including four "showcased" events, headed by the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em FSPC Main Event ($500,000 GTD).  The main event is one of the first "post-WSOP" majors, and has grown in popularity (and numbers) each and every year.

Leading up to the main event, there are three other tournaments which carry six-figure guarantees, starting with Event #1.  The $175 No Limit Hold'em opening event has a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool, and eight opening flights for players to choose from.  Running from July 5th through July 9th, the event is sure to see one of the largest fields of the series.   Just a few days after Event #1's conclusion, Event #4 follows with the series' second six-figure guaranteed prize pool, as the $360 No Limit Hold'em event boasts a $200,000 guarantee.  With six flights running from July 12th through July 15th, the tournament will likely see the second largest prize pool of the series (behind the main event).  The third of four "showcased" events is Event #9, as the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em tournament offers yet another $200,000 guaranteed prize pool.  There are four opening flights that run from July 19th through July 22nd, with players returning on July 23rd for Day 2.

In between those events, there are thirteen other options for players to get their hands on a FSPC trophy, including four bounty events, an Omaha 8B Hi/Lo tournament, a Seniors Championship, and the addition of a six-max format.

There is some excited news to follow in regards to the series, as both Scotty Nguyen and Vanessa Russo will be joining us for the FSPC $1,500 Main Event.  While they are in attendance, there will be a schedule meet and greet/autograph session (times and dates to be determined).

Steve Olivier (Miami, FL) immediately doubled his starting stack this afternoon, but lost a sizable pot to Perry Werbel, in the final stages of Level 5.

There has been a strong rush of entries since the start of the flight's first break, as this third flight has become the largest of those to have been played to this point.  One of those players to just join the action is Steve Olivier (Miami, FL), who is coming off a nice result at Seminole Hard Rock.  Olivier chopped a $100 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD) heads-up, which earned him $4,687.  This came just weeks after chopping a $130 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD) at the same property, where he earned the second place share ($11,375).  Steve's last result here at the Isle Poker Room came during the 2018 Battles At The Beach (March), but he's looking to change that with a Day 2 bag from this flight.  Other notables to join since break included:

Aaron Friedman
Carlos Handwerker
Matthew Vetstein
Perry Werbel
Adam Koppel
Jesse Delbene

Alvaro Grisales

Originally, the "Added Free FSPC Seats" promotion was for a limited amount of tournaments in June, but as the month progressed, numerous events were deemed eligible...including this multi-flight tournament we are currently covering.  In addition to the "Added Free FSPC Seats," players are also eligible to earn a seat into the $175 No Limit Hold'em ($25,000 GTD) on July 3rd (just need to make aces full, using both cards).

$200 NLH $100,000 GTD (Flight 1C): Preecha Taepakdee Returns From Vegas With A Nice Result

Preecha Taepakdee (Boynton Beach, FL) took advantage of one of the many series that run around WSOP-time in Las Vegas, recording a five-figure cash at a MSPT tournament hosted by the Ventian.

Since the beginning of the month, we've seen a handful of players who returned from Las Vegas (WSOP and all that surrounds it) with some nice results.  Preecha Taepakdee (Boynton Beach, FL) bested a field of 2,769 entries, to reach the final table of a $600 No Limit Hold'em event, that was part of the MSPT series at Venetian.  He'd end up the first to depart the final table, but collected over $17,000 for his tenth place finish.  The cash became the largest of his career, and helped bring his lifetime earrings north of $170,000.  The result may have also boosted Taepakdee's confidence, as he's already off to a strong start, almost doubling his starting stack in the first few levels of the day.

Preecha headlines our second look at notables in this Flight 1C field, joining the likes of:

Carmen Mali
William Swicicki
Joseph Gale
Zack Kessler
Paul Shafran
Alberto Niebla

Players will be taking their first break of the flight at the conclusion of this level, returning to Level 5, and new blinds of 150/300/50.

Stephen Smith (Juno Beach, FL) is in his patented tournament attire, sporting his blue and grey hoodie, and dark shades.

The last time we featured Stephen Smith (Juno Beach, FL), is was during May's $175 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD) event.  We talked about Stephen's WPT DeepStacks final table finish over at Seminole Hard Rock, where he finished fourth in the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em tournament ($74,549).  Smith went on to cash in the $175 NLH event as well, finishing in 59th place, and collecting $430.  That stands as Smith's last recorded result, but he's currently looking to change that, as he's searching for a bag in this Flight 1C.  Any more cashes for the rest of the year would only help pad Smith's results for 2018 ($75,448), which is now the best year of his career.

Some other notable players, that took their seats early in this flight, include:

Stuart Greenbaum

Tournament Director Ralph Brandt is just finishing up with the rules announcement for the players currently in the field, and cards are about to get in the air for the third flight of this $200 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD).  There have been (126) entries to this point, with (16) players successful bagging chips for Wednesday's Day 2.  Everyone is currently looking up at Stanley Aufseeser, who bagged a whopping 403,000 in Flight 1A.  While that may be a number that only a few players can even attain over the next four flights, the chip average is a more reasonable of a number to set as a goal (158,000).  We will let players get settled in their seats, and update followers on updated counts from yesterday, before delving into today's live blogged coverage.

Monday, June 18th: Aufseeser And Alter Bag Chip Leads, As The $200 NLH ($100,000 GTD) Rolls On

ICYMI: Yesterday was the opening day of action for the month's second multi, the $200 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD).  Flight 1A got underway at 11:00am, with numerous notable tournament players showing up, trying to grab a few days of after finding bag.  Unfortunately, for names like Tom Gity, Thomas Gari, and Scott Levitt, the bagging process never came.  Only (8) players (of the 66 total entries) were able to bag chips, led by Stanley Aufseeser (403,000).  Full chip counts from the flight are listed below:

Stanley Aufseeser - 403,000
Daniel Stasiukiewicz - 257,500
Pavel Ivan - 179,000
James Tomblin - 168,000
Scott Hart - 96,500
Ben Robinson - 94,500
Joe Basso - 79,000
Juan Ferrer - 47,500

Just as Flight 1A was entering it's final stages, Flight 1B was getting underway (6:00pm), with (60) entries making up the flight at registration's close.  Once again, (8) players would remain when the bagging process started, let by Herman Alter (287,000).  Full Flight 1B chip counts are posted below:

Herman Alter - 287,000
Wilnor Mercado - 208,000
Jorge Castaneda - 165,500
Michael Zachman - 148,500
Cory Williams - 142,500
Megan Endres - 91,000
Ovenson Benoit - 90,000
Zack Fish - 67,000

Over the first pair of flights, there were a total of (126) combined entries, of which (16) players bagged chips for Wednesday's Day 2.  The current prize pool sits at $16,632, with an average of (133) needed over the next four flights, to reach the $100,000 guaranteed number.

Tournaments: The second day of opening flights for the month's second multi are what Monday's schedule is all about.  The $200 No Limit Hold'em event has a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool, with four flights (remaining) over the next two days. The tournament is structured with 20,000 unit starting stacks, and levels that last (30) minutes over the event's entirety.  Players have until the end of Level 8 (and the break that follows) to join the action, with the day scheduled to end at the conclusion of Level 16 (or if the 10% mark is reached).  Those players that successfully bag chips at the end of each flight, will be returning on Wednesday (12:00pm), ready to play down to a winner.

Promotions: From (9:00am-10:00am), the high hand will award $150 every (30) minutes.  The high hands will then transition from 10:00am-12:00am (midnight), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible (Isle Open events not eligible for high hand) each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-9:00am, players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.

It should also be noted, players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand!!!  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).
