Sunday, June 12th: James Tomblin Takes Home First Place Money In Saturday's Six-Way Chop, Now Second On The Tournament Leaderboard

ICYMI: Saturday's $130 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) got underway at 6:00pm, with players in the field looking to get closer to that WSOP $10,000 No Limit Hold'em Main Event seat (which will be awarded to this month's tournament leaderboard winner).  Registration for the tournament closed with a total of (82) entries, which equated to an official prize pool of $8,200.  A total of (11) players were scheduled to reach the money, with action playing through the money bubble, and down to a six-handed final table.  The remaining players then agreed to a chop, with James Tomblin (Wilton Manors, FL) taking home first place money.  Official results from the event are listed below, along with an updated Player of the Month leaderboard:

Tournaments: With the success of Sunday's $400 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD), it was clear that there was a place on the weekly schedule for a larger buy-in event.  That being said, Sunday's in June now offer a $600 No Limit Hold'em event with a $30,000 guaranteed prize pool.  The event is structured with 20,000 chip starting stacks, (25) minute levels, and has registration open through Level 8 (and the short break that follows.

Those looking to get updates on numbers, can follow the action on the Bravo Poker Live app.  All results from this afternoon's action will be recapped tomorrow on the blog.

Promotions: From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.


3:00pm: $600 No Limit Hold'em ($30,000 GTD)

  • Players start with 20,000 in tournament chips
  • Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
  • Alternates and late entries will start with a full stack
  • Levels will last (25) minutes
