The details of Moses Morales's spin-up are not yet known, but the resident of Lauderdale Lakes is looking like he's going to enter tomorrow as one of the top Day 2 stacks.

Heading to the final level of the flight, it's Moses Morales (Lauderdale Lakes, FL) holding onto the chip lead, with over 375,000.  Morales only has one result on his Hendon Mob, cashing in a recent multi at Hard Rock ($130 No Limit Hold'em, finishing in 45th place for $516).  Starting tomorrow's Day 2 with a top ten stack will surely mean a career best cash for Moses, who has his sights set on something much larger than a $516 score.

The clock will be paused when 10:00 minutes remain, with the remaining field learning how many hands are left to play.  Once those hands are completed, the bagging process will begin, with official chip counts to be posted once numbers are verified.

For those players following the action from afar, and those updating their phones in the poker room, we wanted to throw out a reminder about this weekend's event.  There is a $360 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD) that begins on Thursday, with three starting flights, and Day 2 on Sunday.  The tournament is structured with 20,000 unit starting stacks, and levels that last (30) minutes during each of the opening flights.  The levels will transition to (40) minutes on Day 2, offering up some deeper play in the later stages of the event.  The structure sheet will be posted here on the blog, and will also be available in the poker room.

$200 NLH $100,000 GTD (Flight 1E): It Must Be The Last Name, As Luis Padilla Seeing Success As Well

Luis Padilla had been winning a lot of pots before showdown, but happened to have the goods when he saw some resistance from Michael Tufaro.

There is another Padilla in the field doing well...and it's not David.  Luis Padilla had been using some timely aggression to take down pots without showdown (in Level 10), but took a different route when we were watching a recent hand at Table 9.  After Michael Tufaro limped from late position, and the small blind completed, Padilla raised to 2,500 out of the big blind.  Both players called, and the three would see a flop of K♠ 10♣ 10.  Action would check around, with both the small blind and Padilla checking once again, after the 8 on the turn.  Tufaro took the opportunity to try and win the pot with a bet of 4,400, but was called by Padilla.  The river paired the board with the 8, and Luis would check-call Tufaro yet again, this time after Michael bet 8,500.  Michael shook his head to signify he didn't have much, with Padilla rolling over A♠ A♣.  He took the safe route with the pocket aces, but also may have gotten some chips he wouldn't have, had he bet out on the river.

Luis Padilla - 120,000 (100bb)

David Padilla (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) has over $9,500 in career tournament earnings, with all but two of his results coming here at the Isle Poker Room.

As we mentioned before Level 8 ended, there aren't many stacks that are standing out across the field, with a majority of the players hovering around the chip average (44,300).  David Padilla (Ft. Lauderdale, FL), who mainly plays events on the recurring schedule, is seeing some success this afternoon.  With over 160,000 in front of him, Padilla is atop the leaderboard, and is making some interesting claims.  "Ask this guy next to me, I won't be making it to Day 2," David said as we were getting his chip counts.  It would take some serious run-bad for Padilla to miss out on the bagging process, but we've seen crazier things happen before.

David Padilla - 160,000 (160bb)
Haim Toorgeman - 120,000 (120bb)
Eddie Uehara - 100,000 (100bb)
Andre Rukasa - 90,000 (90bb)
Steven Zukowski - 80,000 (80bb)
Michael Tufaro - 75,000 (75bb)
Dan Blackburn - 75,000 (75bb)

The cards are now in the air for Flight 1E, and the numbers are official, as registration closed with (155) total entries.  The combined numbers now see a field with (504) entries, and a currently prize pool of $66,528.  Another flight of this size will see the $100,000 guarantee reached, which one would think is going to be easily attainable this evening (Flight 1F at 6:00pm).

$200 NLH $100,000 GTD (Flight 1E): Eddie Uehara Leads Flight 1E, As Registration Closes

Total Flight 1E Entries: 154

Eddie Uehara (Lake Worth, FL) looks to become the first player to eclipse the century mark, as he heads to the second break with 94,300.

The largest flight of the tournament is about to head on their second break of the day, with registration closed once the first hand of Level 9 is dealt.  Eddie Uehara (Lake Worth, FL) currently leads the chip counts, as he will return to his seat with just under 95,000.  Surprisingly, there hasn't been a player to really separate themselves from the rest, which is something we usually see in fields of this size.

We are currently right on the pace needed to reach the $100,000 guarantee, which is really "ahead" of the pace, as tonight's final flight is sure to be the largest of the six.  Once we update followers on the official numbers from the flight, we will publish the first look at updated chip counts from the Flight 1E field.

$200 NLH $100,000 GTD (Flight 1E): Kalgstein Returns From Vegas A Richer Man

$200 No Limit Hold'em
$100,000 Guaranteed
Level 7 (Blinds 250/500/75)
Total Flight 1E Entries: 146

Rick Kalgstein (Sunrise, FL) had a little change of scenery the past two weeks, but is now back at his "home" casino, and looking to add a highlighting run to his resume.

Each day of this tournament, we've featured players that had returned from Las Vegas, all of which experienced some nice results while there.  Rick Kalgstein (Sunrise, FL), who entered Flight 1E during Level 5, can add his name to that list.  Kalgstein took advantage of the quality events outside of the WSOP (and the Rio), taking home first and second in dailies at Planet Hollywood.  Kalgstein's live earnings are now just shy of $30,000, with a potential deep run in this event sure to help him eclipse that number.

Before we shift our focus to the action at the tables, we will take one last look at the list of notables in the field, which has grown very long:

Andre Rakusa
Steve Valera
Ginold Cham
Francois Gagne
Georges Boyadjian
Barton Taylor
William Underdown

$200 NLH $100,000 GTD (Flight 1E): Another Look At The 2018 Florida State Poker Championships Schedule

$200 No Limit Hold'em
$100,000 Guaranteed
Level 6 (Blinds 200/400/50)
Total Flight 1E Entries: 118

Posted below is the official schedule for the 2018 Florida State Poker Championship, which is the tenth anniversary of the prestigious series.  There are (17) primary events over the course of three weeks in July, including four "showcased" events, headed by the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em FSPC Main Event ($500,000 GTD).  The main event is one of the first "post-WSOP" majors, and has grown in popularity (and numbers) each and every year.

Leading up to the main event, there are three other tournaments which carry six-figure guarantees, starting with Event #1.  The $175 No Limit Hold'em opening event has a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool, and eight opening flights for players to choose from.  Running from July 5th through July 9th, the event is sure to see one of the largest fields of the series.   Just a few days after Event #1's conclusion, Event #4 follows with the series' second six-figure guaranteed prize pool, as the $360 No Limit Hold'em event boasts a $200,000 guarantee.  With six flights running from July 12th through July 15th, the tournament will likely see the second largest prize pool of the series (behind the main event).  The third of four "showcased" events is Event #9, as the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em tournament offers yet another $200,000 guaranteed prize pool.  There are four opening flights that run from July 19th through July 22nd, with players returning on July 23rd for Day 2.

In between those events, there are thirteen other options for players to get their hands on a FSPC trophy, including four bounty events, an Omaha 8B Hi/Lo tournament, a Seniors Championship, and the addition of a six-max format.

There is some excited news to follow in regards to the series, as both Scotty Nguyen and Vanessa Russo will be joining us for the FSPC $1,500 Main Event.  While they are in attendance, there will be a schedule meet and greet/autograph session (times and dates to be determined).

$200 NLH $100,000 GTD (Flight 1E): The "Free Seats" Are Flying, As Players Are Making High Hands Left And Right

$200 No Limit Hold'em

Level 5 (Blinds 150/300/50)
Total Flight 1E Entries: 100

Originally, the "Added Free FSPC Seats" promotion was for a limited amount of tournaments in June, but as the month progressed, numerous events were deemed eligible...including this multi-flight tournament we are currently covering.  In addition to the "Added Free FSPC Seats," players are also eligible to earn a seat into the $175 No Limit Hold'em ($25,000 GTD) on July 3rd (just need to make aces full, using both cards).

$200 NLH $100,000 GTD (Flight 1E): Jamie Wiegrefe Looking For A Repeat Performance

$200 No Limit Hold'em
$100,000 Guaranteed
Level 4 (Blinds 100/200/25)
Total Flight 1E Entries: 90

Otherwise known as "Thor," Jamie Wiegrefe (Miami, FL) has been throwing down the hammer in these Isle Poker multi, as of late.

Just over one month ago, Jamie Wiegrefe (Miami, FL) was going over ICM chop numbers, as the $200 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD) was winding down (last week in May).  He ended up getting fifth place money, which was worth $13,583, and stood as his second largest cash (behind a chop of the November $200,000 GTD, a $360 No Limit Hold'em event).  Wiegrefe has made a habit of going deep in these multis, and would have to be considered "one to watch," in any of the Isle Poker Room events he enters.

Other players in the field that have seen success here at the Isle Casino Pompano Park include:

Paulius Bikus
Kimberly Jones
Gregory Spinder
Marc Sacheli
Lascelles Peart
Alan Saltzman
Francois Gagne
Michael Corbett

Players will be taking their first break at the end of this level, returning to Level 5, and new blinds of 150/300/50.

$200 NLH $100,000 GTD (Flight 1E): Lots Of New Faces In The Crowd, Nice Early Pace

$200 No Limit Hold'em
$100,000 Guaranteed
Level 3 (Blinds 75/150/25)
Total Flight 1E Entries: 77

Arnold Cohen (West Palm Beach, FL) is beginning to like these larger field multis, offering the potential for some large returns on investment.

Flight 1E is off to the exact start it needed, with over (75) entries in the field, just three levels into the afternoon.  There are a lot of players we are seeing in play for the first time this week, including Arnold Cohen (West Palm Beach, FL).  Cohen is primarily a "daily" tournament player, but has been frequenting these multi-flight events as of late.  Arnold has amassed a pretty impressive resume, considering most of his events played are under $150 buy-ins, and usually have smaller sized fields.  His career earnings are up to $32,632, with his most recent cash coming during last month's $200 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD), when he finished in 54th place ($630).

Arnold headlines the first look at notables in the Flight 1E field, joining other "new" names like:

Craig Witz
Yigal Hen
Eddie Uehara
Joe Schwartz
Clifford Campbell
John Reslow
Oneil McCalla
Leroy Biddix

$200 No Limit Hold'em

Level 1 (Blinds 25/50)
Total Flight 1E Entries: N/A

Four opening flights have come and gone, with a total of (349) entries in the $200 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD), of which (44) players have bagged chips for Day 2.  There are two more flights on today's schedule, the first of which is now underway (Flight 1E).  In order to reach the $100,000 guarantee, these pair of Tuesday flights need a strong showing, with (310) total entries the "number to make the number."

Everyone is still chasing Stanley Aufseeser, who bagged the Flight 1A chip lead, and still sits atop the overall Day 2 leaderboard.  Listed below, are the top counts from each of the four flights that have been played:

(Flight 1A) Stanley Aufseher - 403,000
(Flight 1B) Herman Alter - 287,000
(Flight 1C) Tony Close - 256,000
(Flight 1D) Joe Marchese - 391,000

A new group of players are already a few hands into Level 1, with Flight 1E action being updated throughout the afternoon.

Tuesday, June 19th: $200 NLH ($100,000 GTD) Down To Final Pair Of Flights, Overlay Alarm Signaled

ICYMI: Yesterday's schedule hosted the second pair of starting flights for the $200 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD) multi, with a new group of players bagging chips for tomorrow's Day 2.  Flight 1C, which started at 11:00am, attracted a total of (91) entries, of which (14) players bagged chips for Day 2.  Tony Close bagged the flight's chip lead (256,000), after spending most of the day in the middle of the pack.  Matthew Vetstein (230,000) and Joseph Gale (219,500) were the only other players to bag over 200,000 from the group, with the latter coming off a chop of this exact event in May.

While Flight 1C was winding down, players were arriving for the start of Flight 1D, which ended up being the largest to this point.  After eight levels of open registration, the flight closed with (132) total entries, and ended up with (14) players bagging chips.  The stack sizes was noticeably larger from Flight 1D, with Joseph Marchese bagging the chip lead (391,000).  Stephen Briston (363,000) and Luke Rosenberg (276,000) rounded out the top three, and will currently be heading to Day 2 with top six stacks.

The numbers from yesterday bring the combined totals to (349) entries, of which (44) players have already booked tickets to tomorrow's Day 2.  The current prize pool sits at $46,068, which is still less than half the way to the $100,000 posted guarantee, with just two flights remaining.  Today's pair of flights must average (155) entries each to meet the guarantee, so it is time to sound the "overlay alarm," as we keep a close eye on the numbers.

Tournaments: As mentioned above, today's schedule hosts the final pair of starting flights for this week's first multi.  The $200 No Limit Hold'em event has a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool, with four flights (remaining) over the next two days. The tournament is structured with 20,000 unit starting stacks, and levels that last (30) minutes over the event's entirety.  Players have until the end of Level 8 (and the break that follows) to join the action, with the day scheduled to end at the conclusion of Level 16 (or if the 10% mark is reached).  Those players that successfully bag chips at the end of each flight, will be returning on Wednesday (12:00pm), ready to play down to a winner.

Promotions: Tuesday's promotions start with the every-popular Full House Early Bird, with the first (25) full houses awarded up to $60.  The amount won depends on which game is being played, as 2/2 Limit Hold'em players earn $20 (for each full house while eligible), 2/4 Limit Hold'em players earning $40 (for each full house while eligible), and $60 for those playing: 1/2 No Limit Hold'em, 2/5 No Limit Hold'em, 5/10 No Limit Hold'em, 3/6 Limit Hold'em, and 8/16 O.E.

The standard high hands begin at 10:00am (because off the full house promotion), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes. During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-9:00am, players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).
