Wednesday, July 26th: Small And Charlton FSPC Champs, It's "Satellite Day" For The Main

ICMYI: Outside of the final pair of "major" events on the FSPC schedule (Event #14 and Event #20), yesterday's Event #18 was the highest priced-point event of the series ($250 No Limit Hold'em w/ $50 Bounties $15,000 GTD).  Once registration closed for the tournament, the official field would be made up of (66) entries.  The $15,000 prize pool would break down to $11,700 towards payouts, and $3,300 in bounties.  The final nine players left in the event would reach the money, with a min-cash worth $410, and first place scheduled to receive $4,094.  After a handful of final table eliminations, the remaining four players agreed to a deal, with Adam Small (Delray Beach, FL) the declared winner.

  1. Adam Small (Delray Beach, FL) $3,135
  2. Aaron Berman (Wellington, FL) $2,077

  7. Deborah Small (Delray Beach, FL) $527
  8. Robert Sarro (Boynton Beach, FL) $468
  9. Robert Heller III (Land O'Lakes, FL) $410
The evening event (6:00pm) was another "winner," as Event #19 ($130 No Limit Hold'em $20,000 GTD) surpassed the posted guarantee by close to $12,000.  A total of (318) entries made up the field, many of which were names we've seen over the course of this series.  There were (40) spots scheduled to reach the money, with a min-cash in the event worth $169, and first place taking home $6,906.  Players to cash in the event, but fall short of the final table, included Michele Milker, Luminita Petric, David Licht, Hyndi Khomutetsky, Pedro Palacio, and Martin Markov.  The final table action would play down to heads-up, at which point Jeffrie Charlton and Andre Bryan made a deal, with Charlton earning one dollar more (and the trophy).

Tournaments: With the 2017 FSPC $1,500 Main Event beginning tomorrow, today is known as "satellite day," with two options for players to try and get into the main for a "discounted price." The first tournament (11:00am) is a Mega Satellite into the FPSC Main Event ($340 No Limit Hold'em ), with (30) seats guaranteed to be given away.  The evening event (6:00pm) is a $175 No Limit Hold'em Super Satellite into the FSPC Main Event (10 seats guaranteed).

Promotions: One would think that after a weekend full of "special" high hand promotions, things would maybe take a "day off."  That "day off" isn't today though, as the "Turbo High Hands" award $100 every (10) minutes from 9:00am-12:00pm...followed by the ever-popular money wheel, and the "Spin To Win" promotion from 12:00pm-11:00pm.  Last week saw one lucky player earn the $5,000 jackpot, so it will be interesting to see what this week follows up with.
