Friday, July 29th: Lorky Jules Last Man Standing In Thursday's' $200 No Limit Hold'em, With Just Three Tournaments Remaining In July

ICYMI:
Yesterday's $200 No Limit Hold'em saw a small deviation, as the event ran without the normal $15,000 GTD.  Cards got in the air at 6:00pm, with open registration lasting through Level 8 (and the short break that followed).  Once play resumed in Level 9, the tournament clock showed a total of (31) entries, and an official prize pool of $6,560 (after optional $100 add-ons were included in the number).  After the money bubble burst, action would play down to an outright winner.  Lorky Jules (Palm Beach Gardens, FL) received first place money, with the official results from the tournament listed below, along with an updated Player of the Month leaderboard:
  1. Lorky Jules (Palm Beach Gardens, FL) $2,952
  2. Vladimir Grechnikov (Toms River, NJ) $1,771
  3. Ian Cohen (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $1,115
  4. Nicholas Velentzas (Pompano Beach, FL) $722

Tournaments: With the arrival of the weekend, comes the $80 No Limit Hold'em ($4,000 GTD)...a new event that replaces the $160 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD).  The cards get in the air at 6:00pm, with players sitting down to starting stacks of 12,000.  Levels will last (20) minutes throughout the evening, with registration open through Level 8 (and the break that follows).  At the end of registration, players will have the opportunity to add-on for $40 (receiving an additional 15,000 chips).

Promotions: From 9:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.

In addition to the high hands, there is a "bonus" promotion in place, which offers $1,000 to the highest hand from the 9:00am-12:00pm time period.  If a player makes a straight flush in the 9:00am-9:30am qualifying period, and that is the best qualifying high hand from 9:00am-12:00pm, they will earn an extra $1,000 (in addition to the $300 they were awarded for the half-hour time period).

6:00pm - $80 No Limit Hold'em ($4,000 GTD)
  • Players start with 12,000 in tournament chips
  • Levels will last (20) minutes
  • Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
  • Alternates and late entries will start with a full stack
  • Optional $40 add-on at the end of registration (15,000 chips)
