Friday, June 23rd: Fifteen Hours Of Bonus High Hands To Start The Weekend

ICYMI: Yesterday afternoon's $100 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($3,000 GTD) was made up of (23) entries, and saw Vince LoBianco (Coconut Creek, FL) earn the top spot in a four-way deal.  The "win" would be LoBianco's first ever recorded tournament cash, worth just over $1,000.  Also part of the deal were Isle notables Stanton Drazen (Boynton Beach, FL) and Paul Effron (Coconut Creek, FL).

  1. Vince LoBianco (Coconut Creek, FL) $1,060
  2. David Campiglia (Margate, FL) $715
  3. Stanton Drazen (Boynton Beach, FL) $625
  4. Paul Effron (Coconut Creek, FL) $600
Wednesday night's $130 No Limit Hold'em tournament saw (94) entries make up the field that was battling it out for their share of a $10,000 prize pool.  A total of twelve spots were scheduled to get paid in the event, with a min-cash worth $250, and first place looking to take home $3,173.  There were many familiar names in the field, but once the money was reached, only a few of those notables remained.  Isle Poker "favorite" Luke Rosenberg (Parkland, FL) found himself listed in the payouts for the first time in a while, finishing in fifth place ($600).  Right after Rosenberg's elimination, the remaining four players began discussing a deal, and ended up agreeing to a chop.  Oleg Efremov (Oakland Park, FL) would be the "declared winner," and would follow in LoBianco's footsteps from earlier in the day, earning his first ever recorded cash.
  1. Oleg Efremov (Oakland Park, FL) $2,563
  2. Luis Pichardo (Davie, FL) $1,744
  3. Andrew Thompson (Bloomfield Hills, MI) $1,387
  4. Oscar Rodriguez (Miami, FL) $1,354
  5. Luke Rosenberg (Parkland, FL) $600
  6. Justin Meiler (Parkland, FL) $475
  7. Austin Rosen (Coral Springs, FL) $400
  8. Martin Jorgensen (Pompano Beach, FL) $350
  9. Michael McIntosh (Coral Springs, FL) $317
  10. David Kahan (Boca Raton, FL) $290
Tournaments: There is one tournament on the schedule today, an evening event that begins at 6:00pm ($75 No Limit Hold'em $5,000 GTD).  The tournament's structure offers players a starting stack of 15,000 units, and levels of (20) minutes throughout the event.

Promotions: The weekend kicks off with a day that's full of bonus high hands, starting the moment the doors open.  From 9:00am-12:00pm, $100 will be awarded every (10) minutes to qualifying high hands, with rollovers.  This promotion is very exciting, as we've seen rollovers that are worth between $500-$1,000 on a consistent basis.

That period is followed by some "richer" high hands, with $250 awarded every (20) minutes from 12:00pm-4:00pm, and $500 awarded every (20) minutes from 4:00pm-12:00am.  Rollovers apply with this promotion as well, but with so many tables in play, it's not something that happens as often.

6:00pm - $75 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD)

- Players will begin with a 15,000 starting stack
- Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
