Josias Santos (Kissimmee, FL) was coming off a major victory at Parx Casino in Bensalem, PA, taking down the Big Stax 300 event ($68,250).  Santos was on top of the leaderboard for most of the day, but spent two levels dropping pots, and seeing his stack dip down to (10) big blinds (at the beginning of Level 30).

After Darryl Fish opened, both Uri Kadosh and Josias came along, with the flop coming down J 10♠ 5.  After Kadosh checked, Josias shoved for just under 1,000,000, causing Darryl to release his hand.  Kadosh quickly made the call, and Santos would be at risk:

Flop: J 10♠ 5

Santos: 3♣ 6♣
Kadosh: J♣ 8♣

Turn: K
River: 6♠

Uri Kadosh - 6,600,000
Josias Santos - 4th Place ($45,549)

After Joseph Couden opened to 160,000, both Uri Kadosh and Josias Santos made the call.  The three would watch the dealer place down a flop of A J 7, with Santos checking to Couden.  Joseph put out a bet of 150,000, with Uri raising to 375,000.  After Santos folded, Joseph three-bet to 800,000, which Kadosh followed with a four-bet to 2,000,000.  After about a minute, Couden folded, and Uri assumed the four-handed chip lead.

Uri Kadosh - 5,800,000
Joseph Couden - 3,000,000

Chip Average: 3,615,000

Ryan Van Sanford (Colorado Springs, CO)

With players folding around to Ryan Van Sanford (Colorado Springs, CO), he would take the opportunity to open to 200,000 on the button.  Darryl Fish three-bet to 640,000, and after a Joseph Couden folded his big blind, Van Sanford announced himself all-in (1,100,000 more).  Darryl immediately took of his sunglasses, eyed Ryan's stack, and pushed forward chips for a call:

Van Sanford: K♣ Q♣
Fish: 8 8

Board: A 10 K 58♠

Ryan looked prime to earn a double after the flop, but the turn would bring flush outs for Fish, in addition to the two remaining eights in the deck.  Darryl would river a set to steal the pot away, and he slides into second spot.

Darryl Fish - 4,600,000
Ryan Van Sanford - 5th Place ($32,860)

Total Entries: 482
Players Remaining: 5
Chip Average: 2,892,000

Nigel Murray (Miami Gardens, FL)

Nigel Murray (Miami Gardens, FL) had been grinding a short stack for most of the latter stages of the day, picking up small pots here and there in order to keep from dropping below ten bigs.  After one full orbit back from break, Murray would be in danger of reaching that (10) big mark, and open-shoved after action folded to him (for just over 500,000).  Joseph Couden would re-shove next to act, with players behind bowing out:

Murray: A♠ K
Couden: K♠ K♣

Board: Q♠ 2 4 8♠ 6♣

Joseph Couden - 5,700,000
Nigel Murray - 6th Place ($26,353)

Event 14 (Day 3): Fish Doubles Through Santos

"Battles At The Beach"
Event 14 ($1,500 No Limit Hold'em Main Event $500,000 GTD)
Level 29 (Blinds 40,000/80,000/10,000)
Total Entries: 482
Players Remaining: 6
Chip Average: 2,410,000

Darryl Fish open shoved for 1,305,000, with action folding around to Josias Santos in the big blind.  Santos casually tossed a chip across his cards for a call, and the cards were then tabled:

Santos: A♠ K♣
Fish: 9 9

Board: J♠ J♣ 4♠ 3♠ 2

Fish would be racing for his tournament life, and with the tournament rail three deep, everyone had their eyes on the runout.  The board would run out clean, and Fish would earn the double, which also gives Couden an even more commanding chip lead (as Santos was his closest competitor).

Josias Santos - 3,000,000
Darryl Fish - 2,700,000

Event 14 (Day 3): Updated Chip Counts From Break

"Battles At The Beach"
Event 14 ($1,500 No Limit Hold'em Main Event $500,000 GTD)
Level 29 (Blinds 40,000/80,000/10,000)
Total Entries: 482
Players Remaining: 6
Chip Average: 2,410,000

Uri Kadosh managed to get a double after losing a good portion of his chips to Ryan Van Sanford, cracking Nigel Murray's A A with K 9 on a K 9 3 J 8 runout.  Other than those two large hands between Ryan and Uri, and Rafael's elimination, the level was pretty quiet.  The chip average is down to (30) big blinds for the first time in memory, but this final table play is still super deep.  Posted below are the updated chip counts from break:
  1. Josias Santos - 4,800,000
  2. Ryan Van Sanford - 1,650,000
  3. Darryl Fish - 1,500,000
  4. Nigel Murray - 535,000
  5. Joseph Couden - 5,500,000
  6. Uri Kadosh - 720,000

Event 14 (Day 3): Kadosh Left Short After Doubling Up Van Sanford

"Battles At The Beach"
Event 14 ($1,500 No Limit Hold'em Main Event $500,000 GTD)
Level 28 (Blinds 30,000/60,000/10,000)
Total Entries: 482
Players Remaining: 6
Chip Average: 2,410,000

Ryan Van Sanford open-shoved for 695,000, with action folding around to Uri Kadosh in the big blind.  Kadosh asked for a count, for if he was to make the call and lose, he'd be left with just under (8) big blinds.   After a few moments, he did toss a chip towards the pot (signifying a call), and the cards would be tabled:

Van Sanford: A 9♠
Kadosh: 6 6♠

Board: A 5 Q Q♣ J♣

The ace in the window gave Van Sanford a huge lead in the hand, and Uri would be looking for a two-outer on the turn or river.  After missing both streets, Uri would ship over the 695,000, and now sits as the shortest stack at the final table.

Ryan Van Sanford - 1,550,000
Uri Kadosh - 270,000

Event 14 (Day 3): 7th Place - Reis ($20,172)

"Battles At The Beach"

Total Entries: 482
Players Remaining: 6
Chip Average: 2,410,000

Rafael Reis (Curitiba, Brazil)

Rafael Reis's chip graph would show a stead decline over the past three levels, and with the recent level's transition, he'd be sitting with just over (13) big blinds.  With action folding to Reis, he'd open-shove for 770,000, with Darryl Fish re-shoving next to act (for over 1,300,000).  The remaining players folded behind, and the cards were tabled:

Reis: K♠ Q
Fish: A♣ J♠

Board: 9 J♣ 6 3 8♣

Even though Fish flopped a pair of jacks, Reis still had two overs, and a gut-shot straight draw.  Neither would amount on the turn and river, and Rafael would bow out in 7th place.

Darryl Fish - 2,400,000
Rafael Reis - 7th Place ($20,172)

Event 14 (Day 3): Level Up, Updated Chip Counts

"Battles At The Beach"

Level 28 started moments ago, with blinds going up to 30,000/60,000/10,000 (2,065,000 chip average).  After losing a big hand against Joseph Couden, Ryan Van Sanford enters the level as the short stack.
  1. Josias Santos - 3,900,000
  2. Ryan Van Sanford - 750,000
  3. Rafael Reis - 815,000

Chip Average: 2,065,000

Christian Rodriguez (Miami, FL)

It was clear to everyone at the table that Christian Rodriguez (Miami, FL) would be shoving in the first few orbits back from break, and the first time he did, Christian was called by Joseph Couden (the shove was for 250,000, with Couden calling out of the small blind):

Rodriguez: A♠ 3
Couden: 7 7♣

Board: Q 65 4 5

Rodriguez found no help on the flop, and although he gained a few outs on the turn, he would not find a river card that gave him the win.

Joseph Couden - 1,800,000
Christian Rodriguez - 8th Place ($14,315)

Event 14 (Day 3): 9th Place - Graffeo ($10,411)

"Battles At The Beach"
Event 14 ($1,500 No Limit Hold'em Main Event $500,000 GTD)
Level 26 (Blinds 20,000/40,000/5,000)
Total Entries: 482
Players Remaining: 8
Chip Average: 1,800,000

Michael Graffeo (Boca Raton, FL)

Just one hand after Ryan Van Sanford doubled through Christian Rodriguez, Michael Graffeo (Boca Raton, FL) would open shove for his remaining 30,000.  Nigel Murray, who was next to act, re-shoved for just over 700,000.  Action then folded behind, and the WPT DeepStack Main Event winner (Seminole Hard Rock) would be at risk:

Graffeo: A♠ J♣
Murray: 10♣ 10♠

Board: K♠ 2 3 Q♠ 5

Graffeo couldn't manage to come from behind, and he'd be the second player eliminated from this final table.  Michael will add $10,411 to his career earnings, just over a month after winning $290,867 at the SHR WPT DeepStack $1,100 Main Event.

Nigel Murray - 1,100,000
Michael Graffeo - 9th Place ($10,411)

Event 14 (Day 3): Graffeo Left Super Short After Santos Pushes

"Battles At The Beach"

Players Remaining: 9
Chip Average: 1,600,000

Josias Santos opened the action with a raise to 120,000, with players folding to Michael Graffeo in the small blind.  Graffeo made a small three-bet to 220,000, and after Santos made the call, the two would see a flop of J 6 2.  Graffeo pushed forward a bet of 180,000, with Santos calling, and the dealer then placing the 3♠ on the turn.  Graffeo led once again, this time for 225,000, with Santos making the call after a few moments of thought.  The A would come on the river, and after Graffeo checked (with only 320,000 behind), Santos pushed forward a stack of blue chips worth over 500,000.

Graffeo sat up in his seat, put his head in his hand, and eventually pushed his cards towards the muck.  Santos would take in the pot worth close to 1,000,000, with Graffeo becoming the shortest stack at the final table.

Josias Santos - 3,600,000
Michael Graffeo - 320,000

Event 14 (Day 3): 10th Place - Bradshaw ($7,808)

David Bradshaw (Decatur, GA)

Although David Bradshaw (Decatur, GA) got a well needed double to start the final table, he'd find himself with just (10) bigs after one orbit at the final table.  After open shoving for just under 420,000, Bradshaw would be called by Uri Kadosh, with action folding behind:

Bradshaw: A♠ 8♣
Kadosh: A J♠

Board: A 3♠ 9♠ 9♣ 8♠

With the board pairing on the turn, Bradshaw's only hopes were the case ace, or any card high than a jack...but either option would only help him chop the pot.  The river eight sealed the deal for Kadosh, and Bradshaw would be the first player eliminated from this final table.

Uri Kadosh - 2,400,000
David Bradshaw - 10th Place ($7,808)

With the blinds increasing moments ago, David Bradshaw was left with just (5) big blinds in front of him. After Christian Rodriguez opened to 75,000, Darryl Fish made the call, and Bradshaw came along out of the big blind.  The dealer fanned out a flop of 9 8 3, with Bradshaw checking to Rodriguez.  Christian placed out a bet of 130,000, with Fish folding, and David then check-shoving (for another 70,000).  Rodriguez made the call, and the cards would be tabled:

Flop: 8 9 3

Bradshaw: J♠ 8♣
Rodriguez: A♣ 7♣

Turn: 5
River: 4♠

David Bradshaw - 575,000

Elliot Zaydman (Coconut Creek, FL)

After doubling through Joseph Couden, Elliot Zaydman would chip up to 900,000, but it would be easy come...easy go for Elliot.  About ten hands after getting the double, Zaydman would double up Michael Graffeo, leaving himself with just over (10) big blinds.  Elliot would shove from early position for the 360,000, with Joseph Couden calling out of the small blind.  Uri Kadosh, who was next to act in the big blind, would announce himself all-in (another 800,000 for Couden to call).  After asking for an exact stack, and cutting out the chips in front of him, Couden would eventually fold, and Zaydman would be at risk:

Zaydman: K♣ J
Kadosh: A A♣

Board: 3♠ 2♣ 8♠ 6 10

Zaydman would have little hope after that flop, and would end up bubbling this Battles At The Beach Main Event final table.  Players are now redrawing for their new seats at the final table, with updated seating assignments and chip counts to follow.

Uri Kadosh - 2,100,000
Elliot Zaydman - 11th Place ($7,808)

Event 14 (Day 3): 12th Place - Touchette ($7,808)

Andrew Touchette (Wakefield, MA)

The past few hours must have felt like a roller coaster to Andrew Touchette (Wakefield, MA), as he went from the bottom of the counts, to third in chip, and now out of the tournament in 12th place.  Pocket tens were not kind to Touchette, who lost that massive race against Van Sanford (with Ryan holding pocket tens), and he would lose with the same hand moments ago.  Nigel Murray shoved pre-flop for 390,000, with Touchette re-shoving behind, for just a few thousand more.  After the action folded behind, the two hands were tabled:

Touchette: 10 10♠
Murray: A♣ K

Board: Q 4♣ A J 3

Andrew would have to watch once again, as he lost his second critical race in a matter of (30) minutes.  Touchette would be left with just 30,000 after sending the double Murray's way, and he'd be eliminated just a few hands later.

Nigel Murray - 830,000
Andrew Touchette - 12th Place ($7,808)
