Sunday, May 2nd: Derby Fever Carries Over To Saturday Night's Event, Which Attracted A Record Field!

ICYMI: With the tournament resurgence at the Isle Casino Pompano Park, we've seen several record breaking daily tournament fields over the last handful of months.  Last night, we saw a tournament eclipse a number once thought unattainable.  The $100 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) has always been the best "value" tournament on the schedule, which is why the guarantee is more than doubled every Saturday.  Last night's installment attracted a total of (175) players, and an official prize pool of $13,125, which was paid out to (22) players.  Action ended in a six-way deal, which saw all players walk away with at least $1,121 (not bad for a $100 event).  Official results from the event are listed below:

Tournaments: The action for the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($3,000 GTD) gets underway at 3:00pm, with another great crowd expected.  The tournament is structured with 20,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and has registration open through Level 8 (and the break that follows).  Results from the event will be posted tomorrow morning, in Monday's blog update.



Promotions: From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) to 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  The 11:00pm-Close period will then see $100 high hands awarded every (30) minutes.

  • Players start with 20,000 in tournament chips
  • Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
  • Alternates and late entries will start with a full stack
  • Levels will last (20) minutes
