Friday, January 11th: Weekend Action Begins With Solid Tournament Slate, And $500 High Hands (Every 20 Minutes)

ICYMI: Yesterday's tournament schedule began at 11:00am, with the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack."  Running without a posted guarantee, the event would attract a total of (12) entries, and an official prize pool of $1,164.  Two spots were scheduled to get paid, but when action was on the money bubble, a three-way deal (even) was agreed to.  Official results from the tournament are listed below:
  1. Richard Ficarelli (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $388
  2. Nicholas Visconti (Boca Raton, FL) $388
  3. George Tardugno (Weston, FL) $388
The evening tournament was a $130 No Limit Hold'em "Bounty" event, awarding $25 for each player elimination.  After eight levels of open registration, the field would close with (21) entries, and an official prize pool of $1,512.  The payouts were scheduled to be across three pay spots, but once again, players agreed to a deal on the money bubble.  Official results from the event are listed below:
  1. Bart Lino (Coral Springs, FL) $514
  2. Vlad Altmark (Vernon Hills, IL) $413
  3. Renee Hunt (Lebanon, TN) $368
  4. Joann Nicolette (Cooper City, FL) $217
Tournaments: Friday's tournament action kicks off at 11:00am, with a $75 No Limit Hold'em "Survivor" ($1,000 GTD), which will see every 1 in 10 entries earn a $500 pay spot.  The tournament is structured with 14,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  This event should be very popular with players, considering the small investment...and large return.
The evening tournament (6:00pm) is an $80 No Limit Hold'em event, which carries a $3,000 guarantee.  The tournament is structured with 12,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  At the end of registration, players have the option to add-on, choosing between a single ($20) or double ($40).

Promotions: The high hands will run from 9:00am-6:00pm, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

At 6:00pm, the promotion transitions over the one of the two "special" January promotion, which gives players the opportunity to win $500 (every 20 minutes).  During the period from 6:00pm-12:00am, high hands will be awarded every (20) minutes.  Winning high hands that are made using both hole cards, will be awarded the promotional $500 prize.  Winning high hands that are made using one card, will be awarded $250.  "General rules" (which are listed in the poker room) apply to the rest of this promotion.

From 12:00am-9:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
