ICYMI: With the change in Sunday's tournament (it went from a $600 No Limit Hold'em $30,000 GTD to a $400 No Limit Hold'em), a shift in attendance was expected. The tournament's field grew to (29) entries by the time registration closed, with the prize pool ($9,947) scheduled to be spread across the top four spots. Action played through the money bubble, and down to an outright winner, with Frank Lamarra taking home first place honors (and $4,476). Official results from the tournament are listed below, along with an updated Player of the Month leaderboard:
- Frank Lamarra (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $4,476
- Vedepal Manohar (Avenel, NJ) $2,686
- Ivan Ruban (Russia) $1,691
- Warren Simons (San Jose, CA) $1,094
Tournaments: At 5:00pm this evening, the $250 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD) "Final Table Finish" returns, with a little wrinkle. This particular tournament had such a good structure, that the final table action ran into the closing time of the poker room (players are then faced with chopping, or bagging for a Day 2). To keep that from occurring, there will be some slight changes moving forward.
