Thursday, April 5th: Andrew Gordon Takes Home First In The $30,000 GTD, As The Recurring Schedule Returns

ICYMI: Yesterday afternoon (11:00am) was the third and final single-ante event of the week, as the action got started for the $360 No Limit Hold'em Single-Ante ($30,000 GTD).  After ten levels of open entry, the field would eventually close with (82) entries, and an official prize pool of $30,000.  The payouts would be "bloated" a little (because of a small overlay), with a min-cash seeing a return of $840, and first place scheduled to take home $9,674.  Eleven players were scheduled to reach the money, so once the money bubble burst...and two players were eliminated, the final table would be reached.  There were a handful of recognizable names at the final table, but it would be Andrew Gordon topping a three-way deal, earning his first ever Isle Poker tournament cash.  Gordon had over $77,000 in earnings coming into the event, but were split between another property in Florida, and Las Vegas.  The $7,232 that Gordon earned in the deal was his largest score since 2016, and helps bring his career numbers north of $80,000.  The full results from the tournament are listed below:
  1. Andrew Gordon (Miami Beach, FL) $7,232
  2. Joshua Jetton (Romulus, MI) $6,505
  3. Angelo Castaldi (Plantation, FL) $5,425
  4. Linzell Borders (Tamarac, FL) $2,460
  5. Frank Scala (Boca Raton, FL) $1,875
  6. Endong Zhao (Palm Beach Gardens, FL) $1,500
  7. Mark Nissley (Coeur D Alene, ID) $1,245
  8. Ryan Gianquitti (Boca Raton, FL) $1,050
  9. Tom Gity (Pompano Beach, FL) $968
  10. Larry Jacobs (Edison, NJ) $900
  11. David Zaldivar (Miami, FL) $840
Last night's evening tournament was a $150 No Limit Hold'em event, which boasted a $5,000 guarantee.  The official prize pool would fall directly on the number, after registration closed with (28) entries in the field.  Four players were scheduled to reach the money, but with some larger payouts once again posted on the tournament clock, a seven-way deal was agreed to before the money was reached.  George Duffield (Pompano Beach, FL) found himself with the largest portion of the deal, earning $1,557 for the first place share.  The rest of the numbers are listed below:
  1. George Duffield (Pompano Beach, FL) $1,557
  2. Frank Giordano (Pompano Beach, FL) $998
  3. Ian Cohen (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $801
  4. Eduardo Souza (Pompano Beach, FL) $511
  5. Jennifer Vidal (Boca Raton, FL) $477
  6. Lisa Do (Parkland, FL) $420
  7. Mark Allen (Redando Beach, FL) $236
Tournaments: The mixed-game action returns to the tournament schedule, with a $150 Omaha 8B Hi/Lo event getting underway at 11:00am.  The posted guarantee for the tournament is $2,500, but players can expect numbers much higher than that, as these non-no limit tournaments have been some of the most popular afternoon events.  The tournament is structured with starting stacks of 12,000 units, and levels that last (20) minutes.

No limit returns at 6:00pm, with a $150 No Limit Hold'em "Double Green Chip Bounty," that boasts a $5,000 guarantee.  This tournament was phased from the schedule years back, but is now making it's triumphant return.  Players in the event will be sitting down to starting stacks of 16,000 units, and playing levels that last (20) minutes.  There is a $50 bounty for every player elimination, just adding to the potential return for deep runs.

Promotions: From (9:00am-10:00am), the high hand will award $150 every (30) minutes.  The high hands will then transition from 10:00am-12:00am (midnight), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible (Isle Open events not eligible for high hand) each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-9:00am, players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.

It should also be noted that started back on November 1st, players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand!!!  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).
