Friday, February 22nd: Another Action-Packed Weekend Of Poker At Pompano Park

ICYMI: Thursday's tournament schedule hosted two recurring "classics," beginning with the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack."  The event ended up attracting (15) entries, and saw registration close with an official prize pool of $1,455.  Two spots were scheduled to get paid, but players ended up agreeing to a deal (short of the money), with the official results listed below:
  1. Francois Gagne (Hillsboro Beach, FL) $478
  2. Zaki Lichaa (Pompano Beach, FL) $387
  3. Debbie Muhaa (Plantation, FL) $297
  4. George Tardugno (Weston, FL) $293
The "Monster Stack" was followed (at 6:00pm) by the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Green Chip Bounty," which has been another long time staple of the recurring schedule.  Registration for the tournament closed with (19) entries, and an official prize pool of $1,368.  Three spots were scheduled to reach the money in the event, and once the money bubble burst, the final trio agreed to a deal (with the details posted below):
  1. Stefan Korolczuk (Tamarac, FL) $534
  2. Dylan Asher (Pompano Beach, FL) $445
  3. Myles German (Boca Raton, FL) $389
Tournaments: Friday's tournament action kicks off at 11:00am, with a $75 No Limit Hold'em "Survivor" ($1,000 GTD), which will see every 1 in 10 entries earn a $500 pay spot.  The tournament is structured with 14,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  This event should be very popular with players, considering the small investment...and large return.

The evening tournament (6:00pm) is an $80 No Limit Hold'em event, which carries a $3,000 guarantee.  The tournament is structured with 12,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  At the end of registration, players have the option to add-on, choosing between a single ($20) or double ($40).

Promotions: The high hands will run from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

From 12:00am-9:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
