ICYMI: Monday's $250 No Limit Hold'em "Final Table Finish" ($10,000 GTD) continues to crush, with last night's tournament more than tripling the guarantee!! Registration for the tournament closed with a total of (175) entries, which equated to an official prize pool of $36,400.  With that number scheduled to be spread across the top nine spots, the correlating leaderboard points were valuable enough to make some real movement.  Those leaderboard points got altered when the tournament ended in a six-way deal, meaning Raminder Singh sits just one tournament away from winning the $10,000 WSOP Main Event seat.  Official results from last night's tournament are listed below, along with an updated leaderboard:
  1. Victor Korobka (Boca Raton, FL) $6,813
  2. Marcelo Opazo (Boca Raton, FL) $6,318
  3. Herbert Souza (Boca Raton, FL) $5,233
  4. Rosario Simone (Boca Raton, FL) $5,136

Monday, September 27th: With Only Two Events Remaining In September, Raminder Singh Finds Himself Atop The Leaderboard!!

ICYMI: With Raminder Singh in the running for the WSOP Main Event seat, you just had a feeling that his name would come up again, before the end of the month.  Yesterday's $400 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD) attracted a total of (94) entries, one of which was Raminder Singh.  The $32,712 prize pool was scheduled to be spread across (12) pay spots, with action playing through the money bubble, and down to a four-handed final table.  At that point, the remaining players agreed to a deal, with Raminder Singh taking home first place.  The result was good for a $7,000 score, but even more importantly, he earned 20.11 leaderboard points.  Those points now put him atop the Player of the Month leaderboard, with only two events remaining!  Official results from the tournament are listed below, along with an updated leaderboard:
  1. Raminder Singh (Delray Beach, FL) $7,000
  2. Michael Winberg (Delray Beach, FL) $6,262

Tournaments: At 6:00pm this evening, the $250 No Limit Hold'em ($10,000 GTD) "Final Table Finish" returns, with a little wrinkle.  This particular tournament had such a good structure, that the final table action ran into the closing time of the poker room (players are then faced with chopping, or bagging for a Day 2).  To keep that from occurring, there will be some slight changes moving forward.

The event will be structured with 25,000 chip starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and open registration through Level 8 (and the break that follows).  The new format-wrinkle comes into play when discussing payouts, as the tournament will pay out just the final table, regardless of how many entries.  Exact payout percentages are as follows (final tables are now nine-handed):
  1. 40%
  2. 18%
  3. 10%
  4. 7%
  5. 7%
  6. 6%
  7. 6%
  8. 3%
  9. 3%
Promotions: From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.

  • Players start with 25,000 in tournament chips
  • Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
  • Alternates and late entries will start with a full stack
  • Levels will last (20) minutes

Tuesday, September 21st: Omar Sader Tops three-Way Deal, And Finds Himself Atop The Leaderboard Rankings!!!

ICYMI: With the incredibly healthy payouts that are offered during the $250 No Limit Hold'em "Final Table Finish" ($10,000 GTD), there are going to be nights when the tournament can't be settled prior to the poker room's close.  In that case, if players are unable to agree to a deal that ends the event, players bag their chips for a Day 2 (as was the case this week).  After the tournament attracted (189) entries, players were focused on the $39,312 prize pool, that was spread across (9) pay spots.  With first place scheduled to take home over $15,000, there were certain players that had their goals set on an outright win.  The final five players bagged their chips and returned to action on Tuesday, and after two eliminations, the remaining players agreed to a deal.  Omar Sader (Pompano Beach, FL) returned to the winner's circle, and in addition to the $10,997 he took home for first place, the 52.87 leaderboard points helped him climb to the top of those rankings.  Official results from Monday's tournament are listed below, along with an updated Player of the Month leaderboard:

  1. Omar Sader (Pompano Beach, FL) $10,997
  2. Jonathan Gordon (Coral Springs, FL) $8,235

Monday, September 20th: "Final Table Finish" Ready To Offer Healthy Payouts, And Player Of The Month Leaderboard Points!

ICYMI: Sunday's $400 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD) once again showed players, why it's one of the best recurring events in the area.  The field grew to (95) entries by registration's close, with over $10,000 of the $33,060 prize pool going to first place.  As afternoon turned to evening, the final table continued on, until the point that play was four-handed.  The remaining players then agreed to a four-way deal, with Raminder Singh (Boynton Beach, FL) taking home first place money.  Singh added over $7,300 to his lifetime earnings, and another first place to his resume (which is about as impressive as an "amateur" could have).  Official results from the tournament are listed below, with an updated leaderboard as well:

  1. 40%
  2. 18%
  3. 10%
  4. 7%

  • Levels will last (20) minutes

Friday, September 17th: "Double Green Chip Bounty" End In Heads-Up Chop, With Friday's $5,000 Guarantee Looking To Soar!

ICYMI: Thursday's $180 No Limit Hold'em "Double Green Chip Bounty" ($5,000 GTD) kicked off a new weekend of tournament poker, and provided another opportunity for players to earn those valuable leaderboard points.  For the first time in recent memory, the tournament did not eclipse the (75) entry mark, but the guarantee was surpassed nonetheless.  Registration for the tournament closed with a total of (59) entries, and an official prize pool of $5,369 (bounty pool of $2,700).  A total of eight players would reach the money, with action playing down to a heads-up final table.  At that point, the final two players agreed to a deal, with each earning $1,535 (second place took one dollar less).  Official results from the tournament are listed below:

  1. Jacque Doucette (Lake Worth, FL) $1,535
  2. Peter Cleven (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $1,534

Promotions: From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) to 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. Monday, September 13th: "Final Table Finish" Puts A Bow On Another Week Of Tournament Action!

ICYMI: Sunday's $400 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD) continues to eclipse the posted guarantee each weekend, offering up some impressive payouts in the process.  Last night's installment attracted a total of (88) entries, which equated to an official prize pool of $30,624.  Of those entries, (11) players were scheduled to reach the money, with action playing down to a four-handed final table.  At that point Luis Dominguez Nunez (Miami, FL) held a majority of the remaining chips, and received $8,077 in a four-way deal.  The storyline was regarding the second place finisher (Scott Hecker), whose 14.32 leaderboard points put him atop the monthly rankings.  Official results from the tournament are listed below:
  1. Luis Dominguez Nunez (Miami, FL) $8,077
  2. Scott Hecker (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $4,983
  3. Mark Rakoff (West Palm Beach, FL) $4,528
  4. Rafael Perez Guerrero (Hollywood, FL) $4,484
  5. Michael Bailine (Davie, FL) $1,914
  6. Charles Benoit (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $1,531

  10. Anthony Casas (Miami, FL) $919
  11. David Poces (Boca Raton, FL) $857
