$140 NLH "Bankroll Builder" (Flight 1G): Changing His Name From Willie Wiggins...To Willie "Winnins"

"Bankroll Builder"
$140 No Limit Hold'em

$75,000 GTD
Level 8 (Blinds 400/800/800)
Total Flight 1G Entries: 115

Willie Wiggins (Miramar, FL) is coming off a career best score, earning third place money in a deal that ended the opening event of the Lucky Hearts Poker Open.

The last time Willie Wiggins (Miramar, FL) was featured on the blog, his winner's photo was being posted for the opening event of the 2018 Isle Poker Open ($200 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack").  Willie topped a ten-way chop of the tournament, earning himself $14,747.  At the time, that was Willie's second largest tournament cash, but he's now changed all of that.  Last week, Wiggins was one of three players to chop the opening event of the Lucky Hearts Poker Open ($360 No Limit Hold'em Ultimate Re-Entry).  This wasn't any run-of-the-mill event...it attracted a total of 4,508 entries, and an overall prize pool of $1,352,400.  His third place money in the chop was worth $176,120, which was more than he career earnings coming into the event.  After failing to bag in the WPT Deepstacks Main Event, Wiggins is now in the Flight 1G field, looking to continue his torrid tournament run.

Wiggins is atop the second list of notables in the field, joining the likes of:

Lascelles Peart
Michael Weinberg
Jose Garcia
Roy Cohen
Craig Witz
Francis Margaglione
Joseph Durso
Johnathan Steward

$140 NLH "Bankroll Builder" (Flight 1G): Jay Romano Focusing On The Task At Hand, Looking For Second Isle Poker Title

"Bankroll Builder"
$140 No Limit Hold'em

$75,000 GTD
Level 6 (Blinds 300/500/500)
Total Flight 1G Entries: 100

Jay Romano (Parkland, FL) is looking forward...not back, and hopes to best his most recent effort from the WPT Deepstacks Main Event at Hard Rock.

These final two flights of the "Bankroll Builder" can also be looked at as a "second chance," considering the fact that Day 2 of the WPT Deepstacks event is to begin at Hard Rock in (30) minutes.  Since there is no Day 2 registration for that tournament, those that were unable to bag over there, will likely take a shot in one of these flights.  Jay Romano (Parkland, FL) is an example of one of those players, now seated at Table 1.  Romano is coming off his best statistical year of tournament poker, highlighted by his 3rd place finish in the opening event of the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open ($570 No Limit Hold'em).  His third place share of the three-way chop that ended the event was $160,000, a number that stands as his largest career cash.  That happened to be Jay's only recorded result of 2018, and he's already matched that number (of cashes) this year, recording a result in the most recent Lucky Hearts Poker Open.  Romano now has over $338,000 in lifetime earnings, and looks to add to that in tomorrow's Day 2 (pending he reaches that point).

Some other earlier notables in the Flight 1G field include:

Alan Greenstein
Steve Olivier
Benjamin Robinson
David Coughlin
Moshe Wasser
David Clark
Yi Ding
Gary Fitzgerald
Bruno Fortin
Danielle Bastarache
Carlos Torres Vazquez

The seventh (of eight) flight is about to get underway, with players in Flight 1G sitting down to starting stacks of 20,000 units.  Levels over the course of the day will last (20) minutes, with registration open through Level 8, and play scheduled to end at the conclusion of Level 18 (or if the field reaches the 10% mark).

"Bankroll Builder"

Total Flight 1E Entries: 108

Linda Lipkins (Boca Raton, FL) is coming off a nice run in the "Isle New Year Kickstart," and has the $100,000 mark (lifetime earnings) in sight.

In our last post, we noted Steven Lipkins as one of the notables in the Flight 1E field...and if Steven is in the field, his wife Linda Lipkins is usually there as well.  Sure enough, Linda was spotted during the last lap taken around the field.  She is coming off a nice run in the "Isle New Year Kickstart," finishing in 45th place, and earning $715.  Her lifetime earnings are now up to $94,191, with a final table finish in this tournament, potentially helping her eclipse the $100,000 mark.  Lipkins career best score came back in the summer of 2015, when she finished runner-up during a $600 No Limit Hold'em event at the Venetian ($200,000 GTD).  The second place finish was worth $45,153, and still stands as her only five-figure score.

Linda tops the second list of notables in the field, which continues to grow larger, even with less than (30) minutes left to register:

Zaki Lichaa
Fernando Pages
Robert Bass
Harold Pawluk
Francois Gagne
Thomas Gari
Calixto Rodriguez
Jeffrey Sutherland
Eric Lerner
Donald Burns

Players will be taking their first break of the day at the end of this level, at which point registration will be closed for Flight 1E.  Once action resumes in Level 9, we will bring you the official numbers from the tournament's fifth starting flight.

Gili Prizament (Miami, FL) is usually shuffling chips that have an actual monetary denomination, but has decided to jump in the tournament pool today.

Flight 1E of the "Bankroll Builder" got off to the strongest start yet, with over (90) by the time Level 6 started.  While there are numerous players we've seen over the last two days, today's field is full of  new faces, including that of Gili Prizament (Miami, FL).  Primarily a cash-game player, Prizament has seen tournament success in this poker room, with (13) of her (23) recorded results coming at the Isle Poker Room.  Prizament's largest tournament cash was in a recurring event here (last June), when she was part of a five-way chop that ended a $130 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD).  Gili eared fourth place money in the deal, which was worth $2,329.  Her lifetime earnings are just over $14,000, thanks to a most recent score during the Lucky Heart Poker Open last month ($150 No Limit Hold'em Event #44).

Gili headlines the first list of notables in today's Flight 1C field, joining the likes of:
